Location, location, location...the best part of this hotel is the location. We stayed two nights. Lots of stairs being it has no elevator. Stairs are very slippery when wet. No chair in the room no coffee maker. We did have a little friend the last day huge cockroach. I give this hotel Two stars for service and location.

We were there over Halloween and our suite was over a bar, not associated with the hotel. We had unbelievable noise until 8am Saturday morning. Complaining did no good. I even told the desk they should tell customers that your room is over a bar and you will not get any sleep. Was told that this was an unfortunate incident.... More

This hotel is okay. The rooms vary a great deal. Mine was large, a Superior, but was lacking in amenities. There are no shelves, either in the room itself or in the bathroom. Simple things like a list of cable TV channels or good light in the bathroom would help a lot. The location is great, as is the bed.... More

I have stayed here several times over the last year and love it. Great location in the heart of the Quarter. Good rooms with comfortable beds with crisp sheets and very nice bathrooms. The rooms vary greatly in size and furnishings. Some rooms are quite small. Many rooms are only accessible by climbing lots of stairs. If you are on... More

Beautifully redone in old historic building. We felt all the comfort of a nice hotel with a feel for history too. Staff couldn't have been any nicer..clean rooms and courtyard. Next visit will ask for ground level..lots of stairs to climb. It's a great location as walking distance to bourbon street was short and all the other tourist areas. We... More

My husband and I loved this place. We had a few issues with our room but they corrected them immediately and even upgraded our room. This hotel is exactly what you picture in your head when you think of New Orleans. It is one block Bourbon Street and in the heart of everything. We were able to walk everywhere we... More

My daughter and I loved this hotel in the French Quarter. Our room was one of the smaller rooms, but was perfect for the two of us. The bathroom was a nice size. There could be room for more shelves for toiletry items. We loved sitting in the courtyard having breakfast. The staff were very friendly and always willing to... More

The location was absolutely fantastic, close to everything in the Quarter. The staff was very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond each interaction we had. The only minus I have is the size of the rooms; some are very small. Our first room was incredibly tiny for my husband and I, he is 6'3. However, the staff showed us... More

As other reviewers have noted, the staff is very helpful and location great and charming in the Old European way. You must however know that not all rooms are created equal. We had the opportunity, due to a plumbing problem, to move to another room. The first had a separate sitting room with balcony and a tiny, inconvenient bathroom. And... More

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the calm comfort, but still close to the action. The hotel brings together a number of old buildings around a tranquil courtyard. This means a maze of stairs and corridors, together with quirky rooms. Our room was small but light and airy. The bathroom was compact but with a decent shower. The... More
