I found this place by accident while booking my trip to the Essence Festival July 2014. This was my first B&B experience. I was very impressed!! Safe neighborhood and a great location. My room was very nice and the property is kept in very good condition. The food was extraordinary! Curtis is an excellent chef. Kurt (owner) made sure all... More

Kurt and Curtis were so kind and hospitable! We had a really wonderful and pleasant breakfast which was eggs Benedict with poppy seed bread! Yum! Light but very flavorful. My wife claimed, Wow, a party in my mouth!" Maison De McCarty is such a pleasant end and breakfast and definitely worth staying. The rooms are nostalgic and their deck and... More

Ok, I have been to New Orleans several times. This trip was a first for Sherry. It was made special because we had Great Hosts in Kurt & Curtis! Incredible service, Kurt & Curtis made us feel like we were friends staying over for a few days. Hi, this is Sherry. Curtis accommodated my breakfast requests by making my favorite,... More

Reviewing Maison de Macarty in 200 characters is unfair. I could write a novel about our weekend but I will just say that staying here is a MUST and the food, pool, bar, people and house were idyllic.

I recently had a reception here for my daughter who had gotten married out of state. Kurt and all the staff were so pleasant and easy to work with that it made for a very stress free weekend. All the accomodations were comfortable and first class. I also decided to use their catering services for the reception and that turned... More

We loved our stay here! Kurt and his staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home for the duration of our stay. Kurt greeted us with chocolate chip cookies and a detailed map of some of the things not to miss during our stay. Breakfast every morning was an experience filled with wonderful food... More

Maison de Macarty has established itself as our go-to home away from home in New Orleans. While I could sing all the praises as everyone else has here regarding their amazing aesthetic, kind-hearted staff, perfect Bywater positioning and incredible breakfasts, coordinating our wedding on the property is (by far) one of the best decisions we've ever made. I'm an event... More

The best thing about owning a B&B is some of your guests turn into family. That's exactly how we think of you. Look forward to next time... Although... the Saints are going to kick the Titans all around the Superdome! More

My wife and I stayed here, on two different occasions, during the weeks of Jazzfest. We stayed in the pool cottage first, and liked the place so much we came back a week later and stayed upstairs in the main house. Curt, Warren, Matt and Curtis make the place a delight to stay in, each performing different tasks that all... More

Stayed at the Maison de Macarty, over a weekend, for a wedding two weeks ago (May 2014). Lovely poolside room. Great breakfast. Friendly hosts. Great location in good neighborhood. Loved the 'honor bar' too.
