We had a lovely long-weekend at Maison de Macarty while visiting my niece who lives in Bywater. Kurt and Warren were wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. I loved the decor!

Love this B and B!! Excellent service, friendly staff, quiet and spa like atmosphere make the Maison my fave in the big easy. Very close to French quarter and the Marigny but without tourists. The pool is in a gorgeous setting and the honor bar is a relief from the heat. Extra comfy beds with great decor-- decadent opulence but... More

My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks at Maison de Mccarty in July. We were visiting our two sons and two granddaughters in New Orleans. The owners, Kurt and Warren, were extremely accommodating. They welcomed our entire family to use the pool and lounge in the lovely deck area. Curtis provides delicious full breakfasts and easy conversation. Matt, Kurt's... More

Staying here was the absolute best decision I made on my recent trip to New Orleans. Staying in the Bywater was what I was craving: a quiet area, great restaurants, cool bars, close to what I wanted to see. The Master Suite (Room 1) was fantastic. HUGE room, great bed, amazing terrace with a swing. PERFECTION. The house is as... More

My now husband, baby, and I live here in New Orleans near the MdeM, so we know the area very well and what's available for a wedding reception venue/place for relatives to stay. Kurt and Curtis are as hospitable and easygoing as can be, and they keep their gorgeous 1860s home in luxurious, spotless condition. Plus, their draperies are to... More

I found this place by accident while booking my trip to the Essence Festival July 2014. This was my first B&B experience. I was very impressed!! Safe neighborhood and a great location. My room was very nice and the property is kept in very good condition. The food was extraordinary! Curtis is an excellent chef. Kurt (owner) made sure all... More

Kurt and Curtis were so kind and hospitable! We had a really wonderful and pleasant breakfast which was eggs Benedict with poppy seed bread! Yum! Light but very flavorful. My wife claimed, Wow, a party in my mouth!" Maison De McCarty is such a pleasant end and breakfast and definitely worth staying. The rooms are nostalgic and their deck and... More

Ok, I have been to New Orleans several times. This trip was a first for Sherry. It was made special because we had Great Hosts in Kurt & Curtis! Reviewing Maison de Macarty in 200 characters is unfair. I could write a novel about our weekend but I will just say that staying here is a MUST and the food, pool, bar, people and house were idyllic.

I recently had a reception here for my daughter who had gotten married out of state. Kurt and all the staff were so pleasant and easy to work with that it made for a very stress free weekend. All the accomodations were comfortable and first class. I also decided to use their catering services for the reception and that turned... More
