I enjoyed being here, a cozy place, very comfortable, he served a good breakfast, was clean. In a nice neighbor...short walk to take the ferry , interesting conversations with Kevin. I highly recommended it!!

From the moment Kevin and Wendy greeted us with crawfish and Abita, we knew we'd made the right choice. They're cool people with a lovely, comfortable home in a beautiful neighborhood. We were especially impressed by the quality of the breakfast and of the (very soft) bedsheets. Taking the ferry into the city from Algiers Point was easy and a... More

on the other side of the river, where the nite is silent the rising sun is the secret new orleans hides. won't need to swim neither jump, there is a bridge and a ferry too go look for it and you will have it both ways.

I stayed at House of the Rising Sun in February of 2015, and I must say that this is one of the most comfortable places I've ever stayed. Kevin has created a very cozy B&B. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life. The breakfast every morning that Kevin provided was great. Kevin was also very... More

Kevin was an awesome host. Very knowledgable of the area and it's attractions. The house is classic New Orleans with a twist. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nutritious and tasty. Will be back....maybe for next years birthday. James and I truly enjoyed our stay. The front porch and back patios are to die for!!!!!! A must see.

We researched this place from our home and booked three nights stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find it exactly as advertised. It is a beautiful, clean and quiet place and Kevin and Wendy are such good hosts. They are a wealth of information about the area and we took their suggestions when visiting the French Quarter and had a... More

Kevin and Wendy were absolutely amazing hosts. This was our first trip visiting New Orleans, and obviously staying at The House. From the moment I contacted Kevin regarding our reservation, I knew we were in good hands. Just across the river (a short ferry ride) and in a friendly, close knit community, The House of the Rising Sun is filled... More

We loved staying at Kevin and Wendy's home last month. We had no car but it was very easy to get to by ferry from the French Quarter, yet it is a quiet neighborhood where we could get rest. The morning breakfasts were delicious and although we never took advantage of it - they have a lovely backyard garden. We... More

Kevin and Wendy were very accommodating from the first phone call till the time we were saying our goodbyes...hoping to return! Their warmth and charm were delightful throughout our stay and no request was too much. I loved how I felt so at home whether I was in the living room, dining room, porch, or the most comfortable king bed... More

Kevin and Wendy have created a warm colorful environment where everyone is welcomed like family. Squeeky clean bed and bath alway satisfies but it has been those healthy breakfasts served in their beautiful dining room that keep me returning to the House of the Rising Sun. Satisfaction is always guaranteed. Judy
