Kevin and Wendy were very accommodating from the first phone call till the time we were saying our goodbyes...hoping to return! Their warmth and charm were delightful throughout our stay and no request was too much. I loved how I felt so at home whether I was in the living room, dining room, porch, or the most comfortable king bed... More

Kevin and Wendy have created a warm colorful environment where everyone is welcomed like family. Squeeky clean bed and bath alway satisfies but it has been those healthy breakfasts served in their beautiful dining room that keep me returning to the House of the Rising Sun. Satisfaction is always guaranteed. Judy

I have explored many neighborhoods in New Orleans and Algiers Point is now one of my favs. I took my gf for a weekend get away. We also went to the Treme Gumbo fest and a Saints game. One morning, I took a long run all over Algiers Point and along the Mississippi River. It was really cool to see... More

Walking into The House of the Rising Sun together - my three sisters turned to me and said almost in unison- "this is a winner". The home is lovely while still being comfortable and relaxing, great ambiance and very New Orleans feel. Beds are great and place is spotless. We had come to celebrate the Christmas season New Orleans style... More

I have stayed in B&B's on three continents and never a better one. Kevin and Wendy were fun to be around and a wealth of information about NOLA and local culture. The location was wonderful, quiet, great walking and great local restaurants. The room was perfect and the bed was as good as the bed in my home. The breakfast... More

We recently stayed at the House of the Rising Sun and had a wonderful experience! I wasn't 100% sure about staying at a B&B, but I would not return to NOLA without staying at the here in the future! Kevin and Wendy were fabulous hosts, the rooms were clean and spacious (we stayed in the queen room with a private... More

A very comfortable and friendly little B &B within five minutes walk of the ferry landing on the Algiers side of the river in New Orleans. The Neighborhood is quiet as can be. Get out before breakfast aand see the modest, well kept houses in the neighborhood. I had the room with the "down the hall" bathroom and found it... More

Great place, quiet, comfortable, the owners were very welcoming and accomodating. Kevin, Wendy and their little dog Boudin made us feel at home. It was our first visit to New orleans and they helped us with tips of good places to go and directions how to get to where we wanted to visit. The B&B is at a good location... More

Quiet, comfortable, easy access by ferry to downtown (no parking hassles), but more than this, Kevin and Wendy and Boudin are absolutely wonderful hosts who make you feel like family---I was unprepared for a drop in the temperatures (down to 37 degrees when I had to leave for a meeting) and Kevin lent me a sweatshirt; also a lift to... We had a great experience in our recent stay in New Orleans. The b&b is very comfortable and cozy. Very well located across the river, just a short ride in the ferry. The highlight is the time shared with Wendy in our breakfasts where she will enthusiastically listen to our stories and questions and share great local tips that made... More
