First of all, the location is absolutely wonderful. We had stayed here several years ago with friends. At that time the hotel REALLY needed refurbishing. And so looking at the recent photos I thought it really looked great. Maybe I expect a little more attention to detail, especially when paying $300 per night. Our room was a balcony room on... More

I was a bit skeptic because there was a bit of bad rewires, but I had only a great experience with this Hotel. It`s really nice to be this close to everything in the French Quarter. The people at the desk were really helpful, if there was anything I needed tips for, they would help me. And they helped booking... More

We've been to New Orleans numerous times. This Hotel is declared a "Historical" Building. Quaint and had a very nice "N'Awlins" theme. Note that there is no elevator. We had a room on the top floor (3rd Floor). It was fine for us, but thought it should be noted. "Free" Breakfast the next day was not worth anything. We did... More

The property was very clean and cozy, 24hr pool was a plus, staff was amazing. We had a mini vacation in our home town for a wedding event and stayed here. Of course we know the area, and this is a great location. Splurge for a balcony room-there are very few. You can hear the fountain from the pool, and we opened the doors to let the first feel of fall inside. The rooms are... More

We stayed at this hotel recently and would not recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Having said that... the rest of the stay was not so pleasant. The court yard is very small. It has a few tables but only four chairs for the entire hotel. Smoking is allowed, so we smelled strong cigarette and cigar while grabbing... More

My partner and I stayed at Hotel St. Helene last year.…I finally manage to write a review :) We stayed in this little boutique hotel for 4 nights during August. On the positive side, everything was very good at this hotel. It was centrally located to everything. We were a few blocks from Jackson Square in one direction and a few blocks away from Bourbon St. in the other direction. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only concern I had was the continental breakfast offered by the hotel.... More

On the plus side this hotel is small, friendly, clean and very in character with the French Quarter area. Definitely quirky with a helpful and amenable staff. It's a good situation for exploring the area. However, we booked a week's stay and it hasn't been the most comfortable of hotels. There is no escalator, no coffee machine, fridge or microwave...
