Not going to lie, based on the reviews, I was a little let down.... for my husband and I the location was great. But man, we did a lot of walking. For people with any restrictions, it would be difficult to get around. But it was great for us. Finding the place was hard, then the entrance was all blocked... More

After nearly 3 weeks driving the length of the Mississippi, New Orleans was our last port of call for a few days relaxation before returning to England and our stay at Banana Courtyard was fantastic. Welcomed by Mary, our hosts and all of their staff were phenomenally welcoming, friendly and helpful if ever we had a query or question or... More

It is a quaint place, but if you are use to hotels, ramp down your expectations. We stayed for 3 nights, so it was okay. The owners are very nice and Tanya is quite friendly. Location is not great, because need to be careful of neighborhoods. However feel very safe in the B&B.

Can't say enough how friendly the owners and staff were at the Banana Court Yard B&B. Mary makes you feel like a friend and is a fount of information on restaurants and things to see. The house itself felt very homey and welcoming and we enjoyed hearing its history. Situated right on the edge of the French Quarter, we could... More

Friendly folks. Amazing atmosphere and history. Beautiful NOLA courtyard. It's a B&B, so not for people who want a full time desk clerk or concierge. Walking distance from most of the cool stuff in French Quarter/Treme/Marigny. A word of caution, the upstairs rooms are air conditioned but get a little warmish when the NOLA heat is on. But just fine... More

Although our travel agent chose this B&B, which by the way was too far to walk to the French Quarter, and most of the reviews I read raved about it, there were a few negative reviews which absolutely reflect our feelings about this place. The good things were: 1- a bountiful continental breakfast, 2- the owners were friendly and chatty.... More

It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy our stay with us. We suggest that anyone who wants another viewpoint about our B and B should read the many, many comments from our wonderful guests who often return to us year after year. We wish you luck in your future travels to our lovely city. More

We just returned from a wonderful trip to new Orleans. We rented the Hexigon Room and the Cannonball Room at Banana Courtyard B&B. It was so nice to be back here. . We have stayed here many times and Mary and Hugh always make us feel like family. We have met lots of really nice and interesting people at breakfast... More

I loved the eccentricity of this former brothel. The rooms all have unique themes. I liked that each had ensuite baths. It's on the edge of the Quarter and close to most everything. If you're bothered by knick-knacks, this is not the place for you. There's something to look at in every corner. Gerald was a perfect host while Hugh... More

I was in New Orleans for a wedding and this was the bed and breakfast that was chosen to house some of the guests. It was in a almost a perfect location (for me). Service from Gerald, his wife and especially Lori was great. Unfortunately the assistant manager was another story. He clearly was not a peoples person which wasn't pleasant.... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Bed and Breakfast. Your feedback is always appreciated. From our perspective, all of us try as hard as we can to make each guest feel as comfortable and special as possible. Clearly, at times, this did not happen to you. That's unfortunate, as the vast majority of our guests over the... More

My husband and I stayed here in March 2015. We decided to stay here based on their website as it's quite comical, you feel like you get to know them before you go! Also never been to NOLA I found myself calling and having a few conversation with Mary & Hugh which put us at ease. We were not disappointed... More
