This was my husband and I's first experience at a Bed & Breakfast. We could not have been more delighted at our choice. When we came into town Richard was there waiting on the sidewalk to open the gate and help us with our bags. We came in and he sat us at the large dining room table and offered... more

The Banana Courtyard was a very nice bed and breakfast, with lots of character. It is in a very old home, as many B&Bs are so it has characteristics of that. It was very clean and neat, though I couldn't use my high watt hair dryer. That is the only thing that I missed, but they did have a lower... more

5 girlfriends and I stayed at the Banana Courtyard plantation house (not in the main b & b) and we loved it. We rented two townhouses, for $150 a night each; if you rent both, they remove a wall in between and it's a great place to hang out. We didn't spend a ton of time there, but it was... more

We were a group of four couples all celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. After searching the web and reviewing the comments on the Tripadvisor, we finally decided on the Banana Courtyard. We folllowed the rules and called them just prior to our arrival and found Hugh standing on the sidewalk waiting for us. He directed us to our parking area... more

We went as a group of three couples. Stayed in the balcony rooms and had that section to ourselves. It is a walk to most of the attractions through a city but with our group we never really felt unsafe. Great hosts but it is an older place so do not expect the Ritz. But for us we needed beds... more

I stayed in the Hexagon room at the Banana Courtyard and was enchanted with my room. For a 1 week stay the size of the room was perfect as was the clawfooted tub in my bathroom. We were picked up at the airport by "Stanley" who takes great care of Mary's clients. We were greeted at the B&B by Mary... more

Just visited New Orleans for the first time with two friends (so a group of 3 girls), and had an amazing experience, in no small part due to the hospitality Mary, the "banana lady," showed us. She gave us perfect recommendations and showed us around the neighborhood the first night, even though we arrived at 11 PM. The room we... more

We have done so many B&B's in our travels - that we can not do anything else if we can help it - I have to admit though that I was dreading this one - I was afraid that I would see devastation still from the Hurricane - but was so surprised - not even one problem. We like others... more
