My husband and I stayed here in March 2015. We decided to stay here based on their website as it's quite comical, you feel like you get to know them before you go! Also never been to NOLA I found myself calling and having a few conversation with Mary & Hugh which put us at ease. We were not disappointed... More

Banana Courtyard is so much more than a B&B. The hosts make you feel right at home. The fresh baked breakfast is to die for. The rooms harken back to a bygone era. And best of all it's a short walk to Bourbon Street.

Walkable to the french quarter. Super clean and quiet getaway from the bar scene. Owners were easy to deal with and went out of their way to accommodate. I couldn't have asked for more. Will return again.

The Banana Courtyard B&B is cluttered with memorabilia that hides the architecture. Our room had too much furniture which made for tight spaces. Management is unprofessional and expects guests to follow multiple rules. Breakfast is minimal and not of true Continental Breakfasts on the continent (EUROPE). Not a place we will stay again or recommend.

After reading your review, it struck us that some people's clutter can be another person's collectables. While it seems you may be part of the former, many of our current & returning guests often comment on some of the unique items in our B & B that make it a homey, comfortable place-- things like old Mardi Gras costumes, one... Just returned from a wonderful 13 day stay at the Banana Court Yard which we shared with 4 other couples from California. Host Mary and Hugh were very helpful arranging our airport transportation plantation tours and cooking demonstrations. The staff Gerald and John provided excellent service and were an invaluable source of information on restaurants local sites and transportation. The... More

Walking distance to the French Quarter. Staffed by employees John and Jerrold the weekend before the weekend before Mardi Gras. John was very helpful and informative about all things French Quarter, and Jerrold provided great continental breakfast service. The house is packed with interesting things. The beds were comfy, and a shared microwave and mini -fridge were in the hall.... More

We're so thrilled that Gerald and John made yáll feel at home. We feel guilty when we don't get the opportunity the spend a lot of time with guests personally, but you've made us feel better. They are a great team and we are lucky to have them. Thanks so much for the comments about the ceiling fan. We tried... More

This was our first trip to New Orleans and we wanted to see everything - which made Banana Courtyard a perfect choice for us. The B&B is located within walking distance of both Frenchmen St and Bourbon St, meaning all of the major restaurants and attractions are nearby or only $5-$10 away via taxi (we also took a few pedicab... Going through reviews starting with most recent and going backwards. Always feel guilty because we don't have time to respond to EVERYONE. What an awesome recap of your visit. Your review was so comprehensive, and we especially appreciate your taking the time to write it. Wish we had been able to spend more time with you. Breakfast is an especially... More

We were 3 couples who had the 3 Balcony Rooms over the Christmas Holiday. Lovely rooms and tasty breakfast. Hugh and Mary were the best hosts, and we definitely felt at home. Close to the French Quarter, easy walk, lots to see. We had a very special Christmas. Thanks so much!
