My stay here started off very badly. There is No parking for check in. For some inexplicable reason the have antique cars blocking the front entrance. I tried to squeeze in front of those old cars but I got a parking ticket. The have no one manning the front desk. You have to open a combination lock on the door... More

This hotel is located on Canal Street right at the edge of the French Quarter. It's a small little boutique hotel with a wonderful, friendly staff. The rooms were clean, safe, and definitely a step back in time. We stayed on the third floor in the rooms that were set up like converted condos (with a living area, kitchenette, separate... More

after a grueling trip from TX we were so pleased to see the hotel as depicted and in a wonderful safe location.we were met by Michael who was very friendly(sympathetic!)& helpful at the late hour we arrived. Hubby got car parked across the street(quite reasonable at $20.00/day) while I quizzed Micheal about the streetcar & general info. When we got... More

First time back to NO and Maison Pierre Lafitte since Katrina. Delighted they had added balconies. Have stayed at MPL many times over the years. Close to about everything in NO.Walk to WWII Museum and French Quarter was easy. The people overall in New Orleans were very friendly. We had extra family along on this trip and used two rooms... On the edge of the Quarter and close to everything N.O. ! In the same two block area with many of the GREAT EXPENSIVE hotels of N.O. Staff right out of a 1940's (or 1970"s) novel. Laid back---we kept waiting for Peter Lorre to walk in or Bogart to invite us into their Bar for a drink ! Pretty sure... More

Old, unit (304, I think?) could be updated. The price seemed like a good deal when we were looking for places to stay, and we're not high-maintenance people so location was more important than luxury. Perfect location for us, easy walk to Bourbon but also to the start of the 5k over closer to the park. Negatives: no parking included... More

I needed a large place for some girlfriends and I to stay. The 2 bedroom at MPL seemed like a great deal compared to traditional hotels. The place served it's purpose as a gathering place, but I was unimpressed with a few things. The lobby was crowded with junk and the elevator had shoddy blankets hanging on the walls as... More

After staying here for the weekend, I can't understand why this place is so highly rated. Travliing as couples, our group had three rooms here for the weekend of May 2nd. Two of our rooms were on the fourth floor and one on the third. I think it's worth noting that we booked our rooms as hotel rooms, not through... More

We stayed in unit 201. Very clean. Kinda small but very enjoyable. Pull out couch and recliner in living area. Spiral stairs to bedroom. Dining seating for four. Accessible to outside balcony over canal street. Balcony is smoking area for all units but 201 is the only one with direct access. Lay down lawn chairs and small tables are an... More

I went on a last minute trip for a friend's birthday, there were some cancellations, so I was able to go with not much notice. I had never heard of this hotel, but was excited about the location. There is no parking. We paid $20 per night to park our vehicle across the street at the public parking garage. There... More
