We arrived promptly at check in time on the day of our arrival and spent around 30 minutes trying to check-in. When we finally got to our room, we were informed that housekeeping had not cleaned it yet and that we could only drop our bags off and leave. The shower was old and the door was broken. It sprayed... More

We stayed here this past weekend for the BCS championship. When we were looking for hotels, this was the last place in NOLA available. We were lucky to find it. The house itself is pretty and has an old world charm to it. Of course the garden District itself is beautiful! The place is priced well too. I will say... More

A friend of ours rented the entire Henry Howard House (HHH) for about a week for a large party group. It's in a very convenient location, 1 1/2 blocks from the St Charles trolley line, which takes you downtown and to the French Quarter very easily. Also, it's close to Magazine St, which is a long, long street lined with... More

We stayed in the Henry Howard in early April for 3 nights just before and during the French Quarter Festival (which is a great time to come). Given all the good reviews on this site, our expectations were high but we must have hit it on a bad day as there were some management problems primarily on the first day... More

If you like generic, sterile or cheesy upscale hotels, the Henry Howard is not for you. If you want to experience a part of the lifestyle of New Orleans that is away from the tourists and the French Quarter, try it out. Ms Anna Marie will take good care of you the moment you walk in to her big kitchen.... More

First time to New Orleans. Home is beautiful. Rooms were very nice. Loved sitting on the porch w/friends. Loved the charm w/hardwood floors, 15' ceilings, 1850's - today style furnishings. Nice staff, Anna Marie is very sweet. I did NOT care for New Orleans, but I absolutely loved staying in this B&B, best part of my trip. More

I can't say enough about my stay at the Henry Howard House. From the moment I arrived at this Bed and Breakfast I was made to feel as if it was my own home. It has comfortable, quaint, New Orleans-style mansion decor and conveniently located right on the St, Charles streetcar line - mid way between the heart of the... More

My husband and I decided to stay at a bed & breakfast instead of a big hotel while spending time in New Orleans. Our experience at the Henry Howard House far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and big. The location is perfect for sightseeing - centrally located to French Quarter or Uptown. The house itself, is... More

One of the nicest places I've ever stayed at. The staff was very laid back. Room was spotless. Would recommend to everyone. More

Rented out the whole Inn for Razorback fans for the 2011 Sugar Bowl... couldn't have been happier with the location (parked our car and took streetcar or cab everywhere), our room (rented Rex and loved having the huge balcony and large room), the breakfast everyday and everything about it. The Inn provided the amenities of a nice hotel with much... More
