First let me specify that I did not stay at the Lions Inn itself, but the Honeymoon Cottage is managed by them and a few doors down. We absolutely loved the cottage and felt like we were on our second honeymoon (even though it wasn't originally intended to be - it was)! The house itself is an unassuming shotgun style... more

My friends and I have stayed many times at Stuart and Floyd's Lions Inn Bed and Breakfast on Chartres in the French Quarter. this is THE place to stay. Hosts are without question the best at providing every possible amenity (including bicycles, arranging cabs, recommending the best local restaurants, places to avoid, etc) and making you feel at home, with... more

The Lions Inn is a nice looking B&B from the street. The main house is quaint. The room I had was a bit claustrophobic. One other room I saw through open windows was cute and bright. The hot tub smelled. The courtyard was trashy. The breakfast was so minimal one has to wonder why they even bother. It was so... more

Thanks for providing a beautiful place to stay with plenty of interesting people. Being rather shy myself, it was pleasant to have other guests to visit the sights with and have lunch or dinner. Of course, your teasing helps keep the pot stirred and was a big part of the ambiance. It's rare to find a place where the proprietor... more

Spent four nights in mid-August and it was perfect. Close enough to the French Quarter to be convenient with none of the noise. A number of really good restaurants close by and walking about is not a problem. A bit sparse on storage in the rooms so you might be in and out of your suitcase during the stay. The... more

My partner and I had a wonderful visit to New Orleans, thanks to the hospitality and lovely accomodations at Lions Inn. We stayed in a very nice, clean bedroom with kitchenette and private bath. The pool was awesome, and Floyd made us feel quite at home in the common areas of the B & B. Floyd was also helpful in... more

What a wonderful B & B. The minute you step outside near the pool you would think you were in Key West or some exotic place, but you're actually only a 20 minute walk from the French Quarter. If you choose you could ride a bicycle into the French Quarter. Floyd, the host, was charming and funny. Evening happy hour... more

From the moment of my arrival l was made to feel welcome. My mornings were spent relaxing poolside while evenings included wine on the patio and great conversation with guests as diverse as New Orleans itself. lt was an amazing stay and l will definitely be returning to visit. more

Oh my gosh--can I just tell you what a WONDERFUL experience we had. The owner Floyd (a southern treasure) and his family of dogs, Bubba, Nipper and the neighbor dog who comes to visit "Tiki" made us feel just like part of the "Family". From check in to check out Floyd fussed over us making sure we had everything we... more

"Where Y'at, Cher?" In some neighborhoods in New Orleans, this greeting means, "How are you doing, Dear?" What fun we had, after a day in town, to come back to a place where we felt like family. Lions Inn has a nice "homey" atmosphere with charming, comfortable, cool rooms. We were there in June so we really appreciated the air... more
