We had a "girlfriends getaway" in June and had a wonderful time staying at the Marigny Manor House. We stayed in the courtyard room and the balcony room, which were connected by a stairway. The rooms were perfect for us and provided our own living area for those late-night gab sessions. The courtyard was beautiful at night with little white... more

John and Gil exemplified southern hospitality on our stay at the Marigny Manor House during our trip to New Orleans. The B&B is close enough for easy access to the French Quarter though not so close as to be kept awake at nights from its noise. It is close to the jazz clubs on Frenchman and has many restaurants and... more

I loved everything about about the Marigny Manor House! I especially wanted to let others know about the fabulous hospitality of the owners and how they make a guest feel like royalty. I was given wonderful coffee and conversation in the courtyard in the mornings while waiting for the rest of my family to wake up. The courtyard..... can only... more

My husband and I and several of our friends booked the entire Marigny Manor House for a long weekend in October. We all got the "Royal Treatment". After just a short time you begin to feel like you are truly at home. John and Gill went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. One of my friends celebrated... more

This is an old New Orleans house with a lot of charm. The location is just a little too close to the 'ghetto', and about 15 blocks from the action in the French Quarter. We were advised to take a cab back to the hotel from the Quarter if we were any later than 12 midnight. The place has not... more

My wife and I stayed in New Orleans from October 4 - 7, 2007. It was our 1 year anniversary and we had wished to take a special trip to a fun city like New Orleans. Kudos to proprietors John Crew and Gil Rome of the Marigny Manor House located on N. Rampart Street just a few short blocks from... more

Just stayed 3 days in New Orleans at this truly beautiful bed & breakfast. Stayed in the "green room" and felt like I had gone back in time to the mid 1800s as I lay looking up at the 12 ft ceilings (except the AC was great). The fireplace was beautiful as were the furnishings but the attached bathroom was... more

Good location just outside of the French quarter on the residential side. It gets "3rd world" in the owners words quickly just beyond the Marigny but it's still in a very authentic part of town with some really neat locals bars and music clubs. It's a reasonable walk to the touristy parts of NO. The room we had was huge... more

Some friends & I recently spent a week-end in New Orleans. We were blessed to stay at the Marigny Manor Bed & Breakfast. Wow, what wonderful accomodations. Everything was elegantly decorated, and well planned. The meals and service were terrific, with many extras. The house is in a great location for walking to fun activities, restaurants, the river, The Quarter,... more

I visited NOLA the first time with my father at the end of January. I chose a B&B over a hotel, hoping for a host that was knowledgeable and accessible. At best, a hotel desk person or concierge will provide you with polite, middle-of-the-road suggestions. The hosts at Marigny Manor, John and Gil, were beyond what I hoped for. They... more
