We just stayed at the Esplanade Villa where the innkeeper, Marta was the best. She makes you feel welcome, but not overbearing. Marta also fixes the best breakfasts iin town, served at their inn across the street, the Benachi House. You will feel like a queen when seated at the huge table with beautiful china.
The bedroom was small and dark, as were the parlors that you go through to get to the rooms. If you have trouble with stairs make sure you get the room on the first floor. The steps are very narrow and steep The room was clean and close to city park or an easy bus ride to the french quarter.
