I recently stayed at the Sweet Olive. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The home is absolutely charming, and Nancy, the innkeeper/owner, is so kind. We really enjoyed her delicious breakfast. She is an excellent baker! Our room was cozy and comfy, and the courtyard was an added bonus. We slept well in our cool and quiet room, refreshed and... More

Nancy at Sweet Olive is great! She makes the place feel very warm and homey. And she makes delicious things for breakfast (but, this is not a European b&b, so don't expect a big spread). Sweet Olive is a good, affordable place to stay and is a comfortable walk to Frenchman Street (great area!) and a bit further to the... More

This was our 4th stay and- besides the initial thrill of discovering this GEM back in '00- our best stay. Under new ownership, the feeling of comfort is totally intact-- but there is more comraderie at breakfast and beyond, now that the innkeeper has breakfast in the gorgeous dining room. We ate together, swapped tips about Jazz Fest, and enjoyed... More

Dale and Dave appear to have gotten the perfect replacement for themselves. WHile we hope that they enjoy their retirement on the road, my wife and I are looking forward to a return stay at the Olive next year!. We were the 3rd couple to check in the week Nancy took over and I have to say she took the... More

We stayed for a week at Sweet Olive, a return visit, but our first since new owner, Nancy Gunn, has refreshed the place and highlighted the beautiful hand-painted walls in the double parlor by moving the breakfast table there and removing old curtains and furniture. Nancy prepares a wonderful breakfast special dish every morning--eggs Florentine, apple bread pudding--in addition to... More

Auld Sweet Olive, just purchased by Nancy, was a welcome change to B&B's in New Orleans. Everything clean, beds almost too comfortable and Nancy actually lends her personal touch to the morning with a home-baked breakfast! Wine at your fingertips. A great weekend!

closed from the French Quarter, in a quiet street, a very nice and calm B&B in a lovely house under the trees. The owner is very pleasant and provide a warm welcome. No doubt that this property will charm you, whether you are a couple, you come with friends or with your family. Everybody will feel there well. and don't... More

The Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast is a delightful place to relax in New Orleans. The new owner, Nancy, is helpful, efficient, thoughtful and a joy to know. The old New Orleans house is well kept and beautifully decorated in keeping with the style of the house. We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to another one in... More

I just returned from an 8 day stay at the Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast, which as of April 8th has a new owner. The original owners, Dale and David really found the perfect person to pass on their lovely B & B to. Her attention to detail and FANTASTIC cooking skills will keep this spot on the top... More
