This was possibly the nicest all around B&B I have ever visited. Starting with the location, then the beautifully restored house with upgraded rooms and wi-fi! The food was delicious and the snacks were an added bonus. Best of all was talking to our host Larry and learning about the history of the neighborhood and city. Cody and Porter were... more

My boyfriend and I were in N.O. for a long weekend October 22-25th. We decided on the 1896 O'Malley House based on their reviews. It did not disappoint! My BF is from New Orleans and therefor has very high expectations. He was blown away by the house, the hosts and everything in between. Larry, Ron and Cody were gracious hosts... more

As I write this review sat in a rather boring Marriott in another US city, what can I say about the O'MalleyHouse that probably hasn't been said already? The contrast is amazing - personal attention, character in the rooms, friendly innkeeper and manager, and very pleasant guests to chat with and share experiences of the city. It's certainly not like... more

After reading all the positive reviews here, I had to wonder if this spot could really live up to our expectations. Once we made our reservations for a little weekend get-away, I worried about the location, wondering if it was wise to select an inn away from so many of the places we wanted to visit. Within minutes of our... more

I spent a week at O'Malley house at the end of September. Because this was my second stay, I knew it was going to be good. Well it was absolutely fantastic. My room was perfect. I love climbing into the big tall bed. I didn't watch tv or a video, but I couldhave if I wanted. Nor did I actually... more

This is trully is oasis in the mist of New Orleans. Each room is decorated with attention to great detail and they each have their own personalities plus the beds are like heaven. I stayed in room number one, it has a great whirlpool tub which I used everyday - very relaxing. The common areas are cozy and inviting plus... more

We loved our two night stay at the O"Malley house. Each room is completely and thoughtfully decorated to make your stay perfect, The commom rooms are large and a joy to relax in after a day of sightseeing. You are invited to enjoy complimentary wine, beer, tea or coffee during the day. Our room , the O"Malley suite, had a... more

My husband and I recently made a long-planned trip to New Orleans and stayed at the 1896 O'Malley House - it was a wonderful choice and completely enhanced our experience of the city, as we felt very much like we were experiencing the life of a gentrified New Orleanean. The pictures don't fully capture the scale of the doorways and... more

Came into NOLA for a working-weekend getaway, and booked at 1896 O'Malley on the strength of TripAdvisor ratings. We were not disappointed! Beautifully restored, updated and decorated home (much more masculinely and tastefully done than the usual B&B doilies and Victorian tchotchkies). Beds and linens are very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty, and wine, beer and sodas are always available.... more

The O'Malley House is a wonderful "find" located in a quiet neighborhood yet close via auto, and especially by cable car, to the French Quarter. (We look forward to the Canal Street cable car running again Sept 09.) Three in our family stayed there 4 nights during our son's wedding weekend. What a comfortable, well appointed and lovingly restored Victorian... more
