The facilities are outstanding and Larry, Ron and Cody create a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The location is good, easy to get to, good access to street cars. There are several very nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. I definitely plan to go back when I have the chance. more

If you are the type of person who enjoys a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with amenities such as a gormet breakfast, complimentary beverages and an immaculately restored historic mansion, then the 1896 O'Malley House is for you. Why would anyone want to stay in a noisy, congested French Quarter when you could take a short trolly ride to the best B&B... more

Not our first visit to the 1896 O'Malley House but it was a first for our two 18 year old girls. The house and experience is everything that was expected and in some cases more. Larry is the type of host that makes you feel like he is part of the family. There were many pleasant conversations with Larry during... more

Love the location near but not in the French Quarter. Easy to get around. The house is beautiful and well taken care of. Bathrooms are all redone and very functional. Larry has a delicious breakfast every morning at the time the guest wants. The friendly tone of the host and guests makes it fun- like staying at a rich uncle's... more

Great B&B - fantastic rooms, breakfasts which means lunch is not needed. It was all the extras that made the difference - the friendliness of Larry and his helpful hints for places to go and eat. Wine and beer in the fridge for guests was a lovely touch. So much better than staying in an impersonal hotel. more

First, this is a beautiful house with large rooms. The owner, Larry, is nice and very detail oriented. I think you would have a hard time finding a better run B&B in New Orleans. One important thing to remember, however: If you need anything at all, ask Cody first. He may not be the owner or manager of the place,... more

Loved it! Why would anyone out of choice stay in a featureless hotel in the Crescent CIty, even in the French Quarter, as long as there are B&Bs like this? True it's not on Bourbon Street, but New Orleans is flat and easy to walk. We rented bikes anyway and pedalled everywhere. Mardi Gras here we come! more

I stayed at the O'Malley House again this year around Jazzfest and it was a great time , as usual. Larry was the perfect host...around if you needed assistance or advice anytime. The house is beautiful and well-kept. The people I meet there are always interesting. The location is fantastic ...one block from the street car if I didn't want... more

We had an enjoyable experience at the O'Malley House. It is a magnificient Bed and Breakfast. The facility is only exceeded by the outstanding care the owner Larry provides all of his guests. He makes you feel like you are going home. Please do not overlook the 1896 O'Malley House. It is fantastic. It is located near the trolley line.... more

What can I say that hasn't already been said in all the previous reviews. This is an excellent B & B and a good value. I was in New Orleans in April for a legal seminar, and travelled with both my wife and my mom. The B & B is a well-restored, three-story Victorian home in Mid-City New Orleans, just... more
