What a disappointment. I had heard good things from friends and online reviews, but the reality was a different story. Not the cleanest place (I thought they had cleaned up after katrina). Not the friendliest place: hosts were downright surly, and the guests were not the model of warmth either. I wasn;'t there to make friends, though, and I'm glad... more

Before taking our annual stroll through City Park for the Komen Walk for the Cure, I took the wife out for a quiet and romantic getaway in our own "home town." We took the 10 minute drive into New Orleans, and enjoyed our stay in Brian's home. We didn't get to see much of our hosts during our stay...we just... more

We stayed at the Block Keller House during Mardi Gras week which meant the prices were about 50% higher than usual. That said I'll base my review on the normal prices because its unlikely that the average person will stay during "peak" season. Overall we had a good stay. The highlights are the dogs, a slightly above average continental breakfast... more

We stayed at the Block Keller House, Room 3, for 4 nights in January, 2008. It was great! The Innkeeper, Brian, was one of the most knowledgeable people I met in New Orleans and had information on everything. The rate was comparable if not better than the Inns and Hotels in the French Quarter plus it is much more quiet... more

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at BK House. The room was comfortable but the bed was VERY firm. We were happy to be in an older B&B that actually had modern restroom facilities (granite), wireless internet and sufficient electrical outlets. It was also nice to be able to control our own room temp. During our stay, we met... more

Why stay anywhere else. We reserved room #2. 15'X14'11" plus bathroom. Would never have a room that size in a hotel. This was our first experience staying at a B&B and could have not been any better. Bryan was wonderful host. There if you needed his advise for directions or restaurants reviews. We ate at Lola's and Luizza'a. Try the... more

We stayed at the Block Keller house three nights over Halloween weekend. The hosts were wonderful- very friendly and always willing to give suggestions about places to visit. The location is wonderful as the trolly car stops right out front. We had a rental car and the parking was off the street and safe. This isn't a big tourist neighborhood,... more

My son (then 24) and I took our first vacation together. We stayed at the Block-Keller House. Unbelievable! The house was spotless, inviting, and comfortable. I loved the antiques, the decor and the attention we received. I truly felt as if we were part of their family. more

...Easy access to street car makes getting around a breeze! This lovely B&B is situated in a fairly clean and quiet part of New Orleans mid-town area. We were very happy to be outside of the French Quarter but still have nice restaurants within walking distance and easy access to everything via the street car which stops right in front... more
