This is a great historical place, that was once an Orphanage. The rooms were great and so was the staff. If your expectations are for a very lavish hotel, then this is not the place for you. If you like a peaceful place were people are not going in and out all day long and want to relax on any... More

This is a hotel from hell. Filthy nasty dirty and stinky. Pay the extra money and stay in a nice hotel. There is no hot water or water pressure. Some of the workers are very rude. This hotel is straight out of a horror movie.

St Vincent Guest House was clean and comfortable, but what you have to remember is that this is not a hotel, this is a hostel/guest house. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to sleep on the cheap, this place fits the bill well. It's old and has great history. The staff was friendly and offered great recommendations... We stayed at the guess house because the amount was reasonable. We understood it was an old building ect.... this place shouldn't be in business. I came home with bed bugs. This is not a joke. I woke up with bites all over my neck and left arm. Absolutely disgusting. That was the worse part, but no hot water and... More

Ok, so I expected it to be old and maybe run down. That's fine. But the hotels.com review was very misleading. It showed fully furnished beautiful rooms. Antique. We didn't even have a head board. It was clean though. It's drafty as well. We stayed on the second floor in room 45. When i went downstairs for towels the desk... More

The staff was friendly but some lacked experience with the computer systems. I was taken to my room by one of the staff, who then needed to inspect my room first to ensure it was cleaned due to the housekeeper quitting that morning. The staff further told me that she didn't clean 3 other rooms, so the guest had to... More

Over all really good! Didn't see an mold or bugs but the hallways kind of smelled. Close to the French quarter and the pizza place downstairs is good but pricey. If you ask for towels or room service don't expect to get it for 2 days. But very friendly people!

Let's start by saying that staying at a haunted house tour, hotel is kind of a fun experience. The staff is very friendly and the building is Beautiful...but that's where it ends. If you sit on the toilet, you better do it in the dark. The curtain goes from the top of the window (about 10 ft up) to just... More

I had an awesome experience and managed to get a private room on a busy weekend at a great bargain. I had a room facing the central courtyard that was very clean and very quiet even with the party that was going on near the pool all weekend. The staff and other guests were very friendly and were happy to... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
