Love the hotel, setup and stay. The rooms were clean, the check in and out was seamless. They had restaurants that served a variety of cuisine. Within walking distance of Bourbon street, but there were shuttles provided to take to the convention center. The elevators where the only thing that were a mystery.

This was a very difficult review to write as there was a great deal that I liked about staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful. It's very large and sprawling so takes a while to get around it. The elevators are very high-tech and you don't need to press a button once you are in the elevator. Everything... More

Went to this location for a National Sales meeting. Rooms are nice and quiet, clean and efficient. Great view of the Superdome. Food was good outside of the catering. Great location to visit Casinos. short cab ride to all the action

Had to wait 10-12 minutes to take a hot shower at night; NO hot water; NO towel racks in bathroom, and maid didn't leave extra box of Kleenex. I would not recommend this particular Hyatt to anyone for business or personal stays. I believe there are other hotels in the vicinity for people to stay at.

Convenient. Spectacular architecture. Cool elevators. And helpful staff. even with several conventions going on no noise in room nor hassles checking in or out. Would be nice if pharmacy closer. Check the Hyatt out.

We travel to New Orleans on a regular basis for both business and pleasure. We normally stay at one of the Hilton properties but on this occasion I was attending a conference held at the Hyatt Regency. Overall I thought the hotel and service were excellent. The hotel has been recently remodeled and all is clean and comfortable. Several places... More

I have stayed here several times The view from the gym is amazing. The regency club staff is always so friendly and willing to help with anything. They also have text message concierge, which is awesome for valet and really anything else. The bar staff is great. The pool in the summer is very nice.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
