You can't go wrong with Le Richelieu. It's close to everything but far enough away so that you can get a good night's sleep. It's safe and it's easy to walk to and from the quarter. You're close to Jackson Square, Bourbon, Royal, etc. Yes it is an older hotel that probably could use an update and yes there is... more

We have stayed here many times - Know New Orleans very well. New Orleans, orginally, was our home. We've never had a room we didn't like. Of all the choices for hotels - this is our 1st choice. Most of the staff has been employed here over 30 years and are like family. There is a feel of being home... more

This hotel was charming. The pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are quaint, but spotless and they don't have the sterile feel of a chain hotel. The staff is wonderful - helpful, polite and just pleasant to be around. The pool is small, but quiet and lovely. It is in a perfect location - it is in walking... more

2nd visit to new orleans, first at this hotel, staff were excellent, knowledgable and quite polite, rooms were excellent and the salt water pool was the perfect way to end a hectic day. you could not pick a better place to stay, close enough to everything, far enough away for some peace and quiet. if you see Mr. frank tell... more

The Le Richelieu is an amazing place, top to bottom. Aside from the free parking, which is the hotel's biggest draw (they're the only one in the Quarter,) the hotel is European designed, old-looking and classy; and located only blocks from the most popular tourist attractions, such as Cafe du Monde, and the infamous Bourbon Street. This hotel is also... more

Despite the cleaning crew thinking a torn paper bag with snacks and book in it were trash we had a wonderful time at Le Richelieu. The staff confirmed that the cleaning crew were responsible for the missing sack. We appreciated the staff helping us solve the mystery even if it did take over a day to get the answer. The... more

Friendly. Helpful. Relaxed. All this with the only free parking hotel in the area. On the edge of the quarter but close enough. Come stay for a nice visit with the owner setting at the bar. Not 2009 new but rooms look fresh. We will return. more

I've stayed in lots of hotels in New Orleans, and I found that this one was the best location and deal for me so far. It's on a quiet residential section of Chartres Street. It's within quick walking distance of Bourbon Street, if you want to go wild. Your even closer to the slightly more laid back bars on Decatur... more
