The reason to stay at this hotel is the location. It's just blocks from everything you want to see in the French Quarter and Frenchman St. The French Market is about a 3 min walk. Cafe Du Monde and Jackson Square are about a 7 minute walk. The Bywater neighborhood is a 15-20 min walk and the newish Crescent Park... More

This is a historical property and overall it is well maintained. Rooms are clean but very dated and musty smelling but the beds are comfortable. The staff was professional but not overly friendly. Warren was very helpful with directions and in terms of what to go see and do. Can't beat the peace and quiet because it is just far... More

The old school feal was great. The staff are very professional ,but at the same time treat you like a good friend. The bar and dining area open up into the courtyard and pool area. It wasn't as much like hanging at a hotel pool. It was more like chilln at a well off buddies house. Lol. Loved it all!!!

Though this is a historic property, it is very well maintained. The rooms are very clean, but you can see unavoidable wear and tear that the humidity and weather bring to the French quarter. If you insist on pristine conditions -- no rust -- nary a speck of mold or a creaky floor, this is not your place. I thought... More

I was a first time NOLA visitor with my sister this past June. This hotel has many workers who are either long term employees or who are part of families that have worked there. The service in all aspects is is excellent. It was great to hear about the hotel, it's owners and staff. The hotel is in a great... More

Loved the location of this hotel & it was so cute! The staff were all extremely helpful and our room had everything we needed. I wish we had time to lay by the pool and go to the hotel bar because it was gorgeous. Can't wait to go back!

I feel so at home here! Mr Frank the owner sits at the bar and charms you about the old days in the Quarter. Best breakfast around! I love swimming in the pool at night under the stars and feeling safe when no one else is around. Old world charm, great price and secure parking.

One of my favorite hotels. We have stayed twice. Walking distance to the River, Bourbon Street and the French Market. Frank, the owner, has had this property for over 40 years. His bartenders have worked there with him just as long. Check the bar and all the famous people that have stayed. There are lots of stories. Can't wait to... More

This hotel, located conveniently in the French Quarter, exudes old world ambience. Its facade resembles the antebellum style, with a wrap-around second floor porch overlooking busy Chartres Street--accessible to all guests. Vintage marble floors adorn the lobby where efficient staff check you in and direct you to the private, secured parking ($25 a day self park). Convenient to the parking... More
