Stayed here for a few nights. The quiet part of the French quarter but easy walking distance to all the delights of the area. Staff is devoted. It really matters what room you get (so ask a lot of questions)--some are big and comfy, some are small and awkward...it's an old renovated space. Clean and historic. But no coffee in... More

We really enjoyed our stay here, the reception staff were very helpful and friendly and the general atmosphere of the hotel was very good, I liked it's old world charm, the location is great because you can walk to the busy areas but it's far enough away that you're not bothered by the loud music in Bourbon street. I would... More

We loved this hotel and felt like we were back in the early 1800's/1900's. Don't expect a posh 5 star hotel, but take in the history and being part of what makes New Orleans so intriguing. I'm usually one to stay at a Hyatt, but for this trip, the hotel was perfect along with with its location. We upgraded to... More

Visiting for business with family, I have enjoyed the charm, kindness and affordability of this French Quarter hotel. The staff are VERY knowledgable and supportive of your questions and the community. Wonderful experience. And having a real key to open my room and an iron balcony is gorgeous historic touches!

I found this hotel in my desperate attempt to escape from the hotel in the hood I had originally booked. This hotel has the classic look that one thinks of when they think of New Orleans. It had a little bit of a musty smell in the lobby, but it was built in 1845, so that's understandable. The room was... More

On our Florida to New Orleans tour we chose this hotel because it is in the French Quarter, because it is located in a historic building and because there is a supervised courtyard where you can park your car. We were not disappointed about our choice. Good hotel, really good location, friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms with a "historic... More

Le Richelieu is a great choice because it's in New Orleans's famed French Quarter but removed from the more raucous parts of the quarter. Near the quiet corner of Chartres and Barracks Streets, you're within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, and other attractions of the quarter. Our first morning we headed to Cafe du Monde for beignets and got... More

Richelieu was a great find. It is located in the southeastern part of the French quarter which is pretty quiet and close to the water (perfect for my daily runs!!). The busier part of the French quarter is only within 10-15mns walk. Frenchmen street is very close. The hotel is very charming and the staff consistently pleasant. Rooms are a... More

I've stayed here a few times and as of this last trip, we used Le Richelieu for our wedding guests. I worked with Tamra who was absolutely fantastic in setting up our group rates and accommodating our guests. She couldn't have been more helpful! The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is in a quiet part of the French... More

We loved this hotel!! It has a great charm in its location. We walked many times to the French market which is only a couple blocks away. We would also walk to Decatur or Bourbon both of which took no more than 3 or 4 minutes. The best walk, however, was to Frenchmen Street. We were able to go every... More
