Husband and I stayed for 4 nights. I asked for a balcony room and was pleased with our room 200. Balcony was shared but I didn't see another person out there during our whole stay. Room 200 overlooks Chartres St and there was construction (water pipe work?) going on the entire time and it was quite noisy but I still... More

We were in New Orleans for a mission trip stayed over 2 extra nights with grand kids to experience this area. The hotel staff was great. Nice pool, rooms nice and good restaurant. No complaints. Priced reasonable for the area. Great location not far from Cafe Du Monde, took trolly to river walk mall, close to French market. Recommend the... More

Le Richelieu was highly recommended to me by a friend. I checked for availability online and saw there were rooms available for the night of our visit to New Orleans. I decided to call to make the reservation so I could get more information regarding the accommodations. The reservation receptionist was very rude. She stated there were no available rooms... More

We upgraded to a slightly larger room, which was worth it as we had our 6 year old with us. The location is suburb. I mean, anything is the French Quarter is great, but being near the market and the tram and walking to Frenchmans is ideal. A shout out to Miss Constance who babysat our child and the staff... More

We had stayed at St. Pierre on Burgundy Street last week but couldn't get an additional night Thursday night due to the high school volleyball competition and the 12,000+ high school girls staying in the French Quarter. But Le Richelieu had a room available. After staying at St. Pierre which was excellent, I didn't think another hotel could be as... More

The Richelieu is an old, sort of quirky, hotel. It has been refurbished (but not completely) and is very charming. I just stayed there for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was a little odd in that there was a wall length, floor to ceiling, mirrored closet with two sliding mirror doors. I was there for two... More

We have stayed here several times and Everytime it's amazing. The staff is what makes it so amazing. Everyone working here has always been very nice and very respectful of you and your property. The rooms are very clean, the whole property is very clean and inviting. I recommend this hotel highly.

We were amazed that this old historic building could be so comfortable. This small hotel is built with a private center courtyard and a pool (with pool towels by the hotel), so you don't see the street. The room was spacious and bed comfy. The bathrooms are "old-school", but updated while preserving it' charm (even a hairdryer). The air conditioner... More

We visited the French Quarter on June 19-22 and stayed at the Le Richelieu. Le Richelieu has the most amazing staff! Everyone that works at this hotel was accommodating, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Most of the staff at this hotel has been working there for over 20+ years! Excellent food! The... More

Great location, mostly nice rooms & unexpectedly - self park is on site. Rare in New Orleans. Convenient walking distance to local attraction. A great place to stay when in town. Yes, an older property, slack back & enjoy.
