My husband and I stayed here for 10 days in June 2009 (extremely hot!) for our wedding, and loved every minute of it! We used to live in New Orleans, so we had an idea of what we were looking for, but had never stayed in a hotel in the French Quarter before. It was right before Essence Fest, so... more

Booked thru Expedia + from hotel diagram, thought we would be on second flr..were on the 4th. Had read review and it said rms on 4th were small..true enough, BUT, for 2 people just fine. There's fridge in room, really comfy bed, nicely decorated/clean. Best part was the french type window that opened + you can gaze down Chartres or... more

This find in the Quarter continues to delight after 7 visits over 10 years. It's old-school and a bit creaky, literally, though clean as a whistle. The plumbing isn't exactly le dernier cri, but I wouldn't trade it for any other. It's located in a quiet spot of the Quarter yet everything is walkable (and walking in the French Quarter... more

This was your 6th stay at the Le Richelieu. The staff are very friendly & knowledgeable. This hotel is a hidden gem in New Orleans I hope that is stays that way. We will be coming back new year. They just need to update their TV's. more

Have just returned from our third stay at the Richlieu. This hotel is in excellent location, within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter, but far enough away from Bourbon Street that you can get a good night's sleep. Nice Rooms (very New Orleans), friendly service, free parking, excellent rates. The breakfast is a bit pricey, but eveything else... more

This hotel was nice - especially compared with some in the quarter. It was clean and cool and had hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful plus there was a mini-fridge. Here are some of the downsides in my mind: no in-room coffe pot and no complimentary breakfast. If you want coffee before you leave in the morning, prepare... more

You can't go wrong with Le Richelieu. It's close to everything but far enough away so that you can get a good night's sleep. It's safe and it's easy to walk to and from the quarter. You're close to Jackson Square, Bourbon, Royal, etc. Yes it is an older hotel that probably could use an update and yes there is... more

We have stayed here many times - Know New Orleans very well. New Orleans, orginally, was our home. We've never had a room we didn't like. Of all the choices for hotels - this is our 1st choice. Most of the staff has been employed here over 30 years and are like family. There is a feel of being home... more
