160 bucks total for a Friday and Saturday is a great price. Easy walk to Frenchman street, even safe to walk at night. About 15 minute walk to Bourbon street, all thru nice neighborhoods. Walked back at night no problem. Hotel is in a nice neighborhood as well. Room was small but nice. Make sure you ask to use the... More

We booked online through Expedia and we were somewhat apprehensive upon arrival because some of the homes nearby had barred windows and graffiti on dumpsters but we found that the hotel was very secure, there were cameras all around the hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was absolutely adorable, they even have a free breakfast and... My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights while we toured the town. We got a really clean double room with plenty of space to relax. It wasn't very quiet as the walls are quite thin and people at the outside breakfast area were shouting late into the night. Apart from the lack of sleep the staff were friendly,... More

This hotel will not disappoint! Don't let the location or look of the building worry you, the service is great, very inviting. It's decor is nola all the way and, the price is very good. It's in walking distance to the french market and, the parking is free!

Everyone was very nice and accommodating, the staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about New Orleans. We were given tips about great local events , it was in a great location for our activities. It was very clean and comfortable.

We found this gem on Trip Advisor. Very clean room with newer amenities. Our service was excellent...all staff were very helpful and very friendly. Our breakfasts were very nicely set up in a pleasant atmosphere. We will most definitely stay here again.

Following another review about staff being unavailable after 11pm, I had called ahead to make sure someone would be there to check us in at 1am when we would be arriving. I was assured that it was fine, and there was someone in the main office waiting with our keys ready which was perfect after a long flight. Nice and... More

I was hesitant, but booked this hotel based on the price and location, 'a few blocks from Frenchman street,' but they don't tell you that these few blocks are notorious and not safe. We had not one, not two, but three Uber drivers tell us they would not walk through that neighborhood due to crime. Plus side was it was... More

I stayed here during the first week of October for a concert. There weren't any hotels near the concert venue and this one seemed "quaint." There is gated parking for a daily fee, but there is also street parking available. We choose the latter. The room was smaller than what I expected from the photos. There was a king-sized bed,... If you are looking for bells and whistles this place is not for you, but if you are looking for something reasonably priced and close to the night life night this is for you. It is within a 15-20 minute walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. The room was comfortable and the continental breakfast was on the mark.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
