This is definitely not a high class hotel, but we enjoyed our stay. You need to go into this place knowing that it is over 100 years old. We didn't stay in our room much, so it was fine for us. From looking at pictures, it seems that some rooms are much nicer than others. My biggest gripe was the... More

What a great place to stay. Not your run of the mill Holiday Inn. 140 years old. An old horse stable that has been renovated into this quaint, quirky, cool motel. Has a courtyard with tables and chairs , continental breakfast outside on a covered old brick patio area The rooms all are different, and very dated, which reflects a... More

we stayed here for two nights. since only one room was left, we got upgraded from a king bed room to a suite for 8 persons! i imagine it didn't look much different from other rooms, just bigger. we had a kitchen, which was nice. the staff was very nice and helpful and it was very pleasant chatting with them.... Many of these reviews are misleading. The staff was friendly, however, we came to check in at 3:45pm, and our room still wasn't ready. We waited in the lobby and were then told that our room was ready 15 minutes later, we were walked up to the room as if we were being shown an apartment, and the cleaning lady... More

We stayed in a large suite because we booked through kayak and it was the best price. The bathroom was newly renovated and the entire suite was very clean. The feel of the room was very authentic, beautiful hardwood floors and wood furniture. There were large windows and mirrors making the space feel even bigger than it already was. The... More

This is my 3rd attempt at posting a review on this hotel. Possibly Tripadvisor doesn't like what I wrote :). Anyway, I will start by saying if you are looking for one of the worse hotel rooms in New Orleans, this may be your hotel. This hotel, as "quaint" as some people think it is, is over 120 years old... We booked a room here back in December for Mardi Gras weekend. When we showed up to check in they informed us that our credit card had been declined. Instead of calling to inform us, they sold our room to someone else leaving us with nowhere to stay as all of the rooms in the city were booked. Instead of... More

Liked this place because it was in the French Quarter, close enough to walk everywhere, but not too close where you are stuck with all the noise. The price was great, I don't think we paid more than $50. The place was what it was, isn't not a modern hotel, it's an 'old towne in'. Its not the most up-to-date,... More

Ok, this is not for those of you that expect perfection...it is an old building, or actually series of building, and you have to deal with that, however I love old buildings and quaint surroundings. In addition, the staff is very friendly and helpful and knowing that I am trying to move to the city, gave me lots of pointers... More
