Service was wonderful. Special thanks to the shuttle driver Matt for all of his help and advice on the surrounding venues.

After four weeks tripping around the US, the two hotels that stood out for us were not the glitzy, plush ones, but the two smaller ones (Holiday Inns) that were really quite ordinary. The restaurant in each was nothing to write home about, but the staff were excellent, particularly the front desk, namely, Donna and co. They couldn't do enough... More

First the Pros: Avg size room that is clean and comfortable. Great Bed. Old style TV with plenty of cable channels. Desk and chair for relaxing. Coffee maker. Bath was very clean and modern. We always had hot water. Good pool on the eighth floor with the fitness center. Most of the staff (floor, maintenance, concierge) were great. David (conceirge)... More

We just returned from a four night stay at the HI Downtown and walked almost everywhere (except to the Garden District) That's what the streetcars are for...(not allowed to call them "trolleys" here) To get to Canal Street and feel comfortable, walk out the back ground level parking lot, bear to the left and walk one or two blocks down... My family and I were in new Orleans for my fathers bypass heart surgery. We were in a binde because we were having to sleep in the Wating room. We were there on a Road Scholar trip for a week, and given the price of the rooms, we did not expect a lot. But there are murals of Old New Orleans all over the hotel and framed copies on the walls of the room - many are life size and could fool the eye, so you can hae your... More

I have stayed at this particular Holiday on multiple occasions over the past six years. It was never easy being there for the reasons I was. Angie (your bartender) has always been the sweetest and was very comforting for all of us at times, also makes a great coctail. She has gone out of her way numerous times (definitley more... More

Listen to Emmett, we traveled throughout the city with ease and by providing shuttle service my sister and I felt very safe. The hotel is in excellent condition and staffing A-1. We understand it was one of the first to reopen after Katrina and only one that provides on-call shuttle service. Conveniently located near Amtrak which we took from California... More

My Mother and I stayed here over St. Patty's day and were quite pleased with the hotel. The staff, especially Ms. Donna, were amazing and helpful. We had a bad experience with room service, but after giving a note to the chef, he called us the next morning and gave us a free breakfast. Great customer service from this place.... More

Room rate good, Staff needs some customer service training. Room Service - Not a good idea. Breakfast - rotten bananas, burnt coffee, cold toast, not worth the charge (almost $30).
