There were no hostels or couches with vacancies so we started looking at hotels. This one was more expensive than motel six but it is very nice and clean and it's a cool old building. The best part is the location. Close to everything. French Quarter,museums,port...Everything. Let the good times roll.

Great hotel in terms of rooms and service. The housekeeping staff and Knotchi in particular were very kind and helpful. The only downside was the dining options in the hotel, but there was so much within walking distance that it didn't matter.

Came into NOLA late at night. The Whitney is a bit dated, which is it's cham. They even have the original vault where you check in. Rooms were clean and spacious. We had breakfast in the hotel and there was only one server. She admitedly knew she was very slow with our table, b/c of a large group that just... More

This hotel is a reasonable walk from conference center, stadium and other attractions at a very good price compared to nearby hotels. The building is the converted Whitney Bank Building, and part of the building still houses a bank branch. I enjoyed viewing the wall mural and the large bank vault converted onto a conference room. Like other, older structures,... More

I stayed at the Whitney Wyndham during my visit to NOLA for French Quarter Fest 2014. This was my 2nd stay at the hotel, and it was great. I shared my room with a friend, and we literally had 2 separate bedrooms. That was a big PLUS!!! I would highly recommend the Whitney Wyndham to anyone visiting NOLA. The staff... More

This is a fine older hotel that has been updated. The room is fine for one or two people. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is located close to downtown, the convention center, the French Quarter, the sports dome and the River Walk.

I would not stay at any other hotel in New Orleans! We love the bar and restaurant on site, friendly welcome and service. Quant old décor, we love Patrick and all the staff, just don't know their names. We walk to Superdome and Quarter. Never a problem, never nothing left undone.

There are many fine hotels in this city. This isn't one of them. Slow valet, slow elevators, small dumpy rooms, linens from Walmart. We were here for the game in Baton Rouge on a Saints weekend so prices elevated. It's between a Super 8 and Days inn on "niceness". I feel violated but Alabama won so that's a positive.

We spent four days at The Whitney. The room on the fifth floor facing the street was very well appointed and clean...no noise problem at all. Breakfast was very good and the service overall was excellent. The location is great if you do not want to be right in the middle of the French Quarter....easy walk to the quarter or... More

I stayed here one night on business. The hotel was well located for me. The room was comfortable, clean and functional. I did have a problem with the wifi, but it was a short stay so I didn't call the front desk. One complaint, I don't like the white light from the fluorescent light bulbs, made me feel like I... More
