We had an excellent stay. The hotel is brand new and away from the noise of Bourbon Street. We got a great rate on the Marriott website, so it was a great value. The location was about a block and half from Bourbon Street and a ten minute walk to Café du Monde. I do want to mention one thing... More

we have been very impressed with the Courtyard. the front desk staff has been very professional, helpful and friendly! They never failed to ask if they could make our trip better. The housekeeping did a great job. Our room was clean and spacious. My only recommendation would be for king sized feather pillows. I will definitely come back here to... More

We stayed only one night before checking into a rental house with a crew of others. The room was very spacious, modern and clean. No real view from the side almost the top floor, but it didn't matter, we were there for only one night. Had I been longer, I'd probably would have liked a view. The living room area... More

My 1st visit to NOLA, we were able to stay here last minute using my boyfriend's employee's discount (he works for Ritz/Marriott), so for the price we paid it was more than a bargain. Same room was retailing $179 a night (Sunday), and it was a King's Suite on 8th floor. The "suite" is not that big, shower only (no... More

I had a great stay here! I was here on a recent weekend, arriving on Saturday and departing on Monday. I booked it on Priceline and really have no complaints. My flight arrived very early on Saturday morning, so I came here hoping to check in early. The attendant at the front desk said they had no rooms yet and... More

We stayed here for two days on our way home to Nevada from a winter stay in Florida. Right from the start, the service was impeccable. We had a Subaru Outback full of winter and summer stuff as we left Nevada in December and were heading home in March. We had a service dog and two bicycles and a bunch... More

If I had to book this trip all over again, I would probably have chosen one of the cute boutique hotels in the French Quarter. They are all around the same price as Marriott and they have a lot more character. Our hotel room was nice, and the gym as all new equipment. Breakfast is not included, which is fine... More

Our room was spacious and clean. We had everything we needed in a quiet and peaceful setting. Our maid did a wonderful job. The location is perfect, a block from the streetcars, one and half block off of Bourbon St and just across the St from our favorite seafood restaurant Deanies. The only improvement we would like , for the... More

Third time staying here. It's in the Quarter and easy walk to many, many restaurants and clubs. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with directions, etc. Housekeeping still has problems with completing the task, if at all. Room was not serviced on one occasion. On other occasions towels had to be requested.

We scouted this hotel out prior to our last trip to New Orleans. The manager showed up the double king and double queen rooms. The double king was larger with a desk area in one king room, bath and wet bar between the two, and a corner sofa in the second king. The queen we viewed was a standard queen... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
