This was a great deal and we felt it was convenient to French quarter and also the trolley. We got lattes and a great breakfast sandwich on a biscuit just next door at Teddy's in the Roosevelt Hotel. We hopped onto the trolley which was only $1.25 and got to the jazzfest quickly. The room was standard and clean. Area... More

This hotel was great for our travels in New Orleans. It was in a great area within walking distance to Bourbon Street, as well as plenty of great little shops nearby. It fit our budget nicely, which a lot of hotels didn't! Also, considering it is New Orleans, the bathroom and room size is perfect. The only thing I would... More

Terrible, overpriced hotel. King size bedrooms have windows to interior space; no outside light. There was a hole in the ceramic of the bathroom sink. The air conditioner rattled all night long. The room smelled musty.

Just a couple blocks from the action in the french quarter this hotel was fair priced and comfy. The crew there really made the stay. Thanks to the desk staff especially Alicia the maintenance crew and the cleaning folks. All very pleasant and accommodating.

We recently stayed here on a short trip to New Orleans. Nothing special about the rooms. Very basic. Great location! Right in the middle. Service was outstanding. My only complaint is the musty smell. I guess we got used to it but we weren't in our rooms all that much. For the value it was a great deal from groupon!

Arrived about an 1 to 1 & half before check-in and was given my key right away. That was nice after the long drive. Parking garage is difficult to navigate as said by others, bring a small car!The room was pleasant and clean. The restroom needs updating, the toilet seat and tub are stain and had scrapes. I did find... More

Just returned from Wyndham Garden Baronne. Nice place with a few caveats. Rooms either have interior windows to hotel or outside facing windows. We stayed on 5th floor in a room where window faces interior. A strange set-up but we were not in room much as we were there for Jazz Fest. The room was well appointed with sitting area,... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
