If you're looking for a hostel which is cheap, clean, has a friendly vibe and is within a walkable distance to all the best tourist areas of New Orleans - heres your place. I stayed there solo, met a whole bunch of different groups passing through who were welcoming and fun and can't say a bad word about it. AAE... More

I was disappointed by my stay in this house. For the price I think it's overrated. I literally slept in a closet. The breakfast by the way was good and I enjoyed it. The location is also not the best. But this place is still recommendable.

My husband and I are seniors and stayed in a small private room for 6 nights during Mardi Gras. Our rate was very reasonable, especially for a stay during Mardi Gras. The staff is great, exceedingly helpful and friendly. The make-it-yourself from the batter AM pancakes are good as is the better than average coffee available, although one morning they... More

I just returned from New Orleans where I stayed at the Bourbon Hotel for three nights. I have mixed feelings about this place.. and will try to be as comprehensive and fair as possible in my review.. Let me start with the positive attributes that this place has: 1) the staff is incredibly polite, competent and willing to help. I... More

We had a private room. Both bed sheets were dirty with hair and popcorn. Night staff encourages girls to hang out and talk loudly with him til 1.50 a.m... We asked them to quiet down twice 12 & 1.30 am. Clean bath rooms and good location friendly day staff but will not return. We simply couldnt sleep...one of the most... More

Had a private room to myself which was really nice to have, but pretty expensive considering it was NYE. It was also really cold in the room itself. There were free pancakes in the morning, and you could come and go whenever you wanted to (no curfew). Staff were really friendly, always happy to help with anything. Met some great... More

The staff were super friendly and really helpful, especially with things like helping to book tours etc, I made a load of friends while staying here and I think that reflects on the hostel as well, as it is a nice laid back place with plenty of seating and tables outside to sit around and talk to people. The place... More

Showers are disgusting. Hair and dust is matted into piles on the bedroom floor. Curtains are filthy. Staff do not seem to care when I raised issues with them. The position is ok - close to street with a few restaurants and shops.

We stayed there for 4 nights in December. The house looks nice from the outside, the stuff is quiet friendly. BUT the house from the inside is horrible. Old, smells musty and isnt clean. Especially the bathrooms (we had the luck to see 2) were insane bad. Really bad meldew everywhere and just wasnt cleaned, or at least if, not... More

I love staying at hostels and normally take bad reviews with a grain of salt. Unfortunately I wish we would have paid a little more money and stayed at a different hostel. The bathrooms were incredibly dirty to the point where I would have rather used a public restroom in town. My room was located right next to the outside... More
