Small hostel with a home stay feel. Staff are very helpful and friendly, it's just the facilities, it is quite hot in all rooms, and very tight. Doesn't take more than 2 people in the kitchen to feel crowded. Same as in the hallways and laundry. Bathrooms were sufficient enough, and it was cheap enough. Nestled in a ok position... More

When we booked our room here in advance we had to state what time we were arriving at, we said 7am and when we arrived at 7am we were locked out. Luckily, someone woke up and let us in to wait until the staff arrived. We then paid $10 extra to allow us to check in at that point as... More

Stayed in this place for a week, had a really good time, the staff, Caleb and Nigel especially, are really friendly and knowledgeable Rooms and bathroom are a bit outdated, but thats what you come to expect in a hostel. Really good value for what you pay for.

We stayed in a room for "4 adults". The space on the floor was barely big enough for our 4 suitcases. We were climbing over each other just to give each other boosts to the top bunks due to their being no ladders. The heater in our room was dripping water in a mouldy tray which was already full of... I came for mardi gras and was surprised how expensive it was. Tho cheaper than everyone else, had to pay cash for stay. I was told mixed dorm yet was the only female in my room entire stay. I'm glad the guys in my room were really friendly used to staying in hostels so very thoughtful for other people. There... More

This place is a DUMP. I stayed here in late May 2014 and found the place disgusting. The bathroom mirror had a HUGE crack on it, the paint was pealing off the walls in the bathrooms in the hallways, and the bathroom had a big hole in the cheap tile right in front of the bathroom shower. It was a... More

What an awesome hostel in Nola! It was exceptionally clean, had great social areas outside which were enjoyed even during a torrential rain storm. Every morning you have pancake mixture available to make your own pancakes and free tea and coffee. Kitchen facilities were well stocked if you want to make your own meals. The air-con was a god-send from... More

The good: - By far and away the most fun I've had at a hostel - great people, fantastic staff (highly recommend Caleb for his help), and really chilled atmosphere. - Great outdoor area out the back for eating and chilling - like an exotic bungalow. - Great recommendations for music/where to go - Scott really knew his stuff with... Backpacked across the states with a friend so stayed at a lot of hostels with Bourbon House being the last one. When we were shown to our dorm we were shocked, there seemed to be no signs of recent cleaning and the bunk beds were extremely high (you couldn't sit up in the top bunk) with no guard rail. It... Stayed here in april and this is the cleanest hostel I stayed in during my week in New Orleans. Meet a lot of cool people and had a great time. Very friendly staff that gave some good recommendations for best Po-Boys in the neighbourhood. Located a bit off the central New Orleans (Bourbon Street) but right next to the fantastic... More
