I came for mardi gras and was surprised how expensive it was. Tho cheaper than everyone else, had to pay cash for stay. I was told mixed dorm yet was the only female in my room entire stay. I'm glad the guys in my room were really friendly used to staying in hostels so very thoughtful for other people. There... More

This place is a DUMP. I stayed here in late May 2014 and found the place disgusting. The bathroom mirror had a HUGE crack on it, the paint was pealing off the walls in the bathrooms in the hallways, and the bathroom had a big hole in the cheap tile right in front of the bathroom shower. It was a... More

What an awesome hostel in Nola! It was exceptionally clean, had great social areas outside which were enjoyed even during a torrential rain storm. Every morning you have pancake mixture available to make your own pancakes and free tea and coffee. Kitchen facilities were well stocked if you want to make your own meals. The air-con was a god-send from... More

The good: - By far and away the most fun I've had at a hostel - great people, fantastic staff (highly recommend Caleb for his help), and really chilled atmosphere. - Great outdoor area out the back for eating and chilling - like an exotic bungalow. - Great recommendations for music/where to go - Scott really knew his stuff with... Backpacked across the states with a friend so stayed at a lot of hostels with Bourbon House being the last one. When we were shown to our dorm we were shocked, there seemed to be no signs of recent cleaning and the bunk beds were extremely high (you couldn't sit up in the top bunk) with no guard rail. It... Stayed here in april and this is the cleanest hostel I stayed in during my week in New Orleans. Meet a lot of cool people and had a great time. Very friendly staff that gave some good recommendations for best Po-Boys in the neighbourhood. Located a bit off the central New Orleans (Bourbon Street) but right next to the fantastic... More

Considering all the mega hotels in town, you'd expect there to be a lot of tourism and business in this city, but it's pretty short on budget accomodation - which means that this place doesn't need to be nearly as good as it actually is, but fortunately for us, it is. This is a great place to stay in New... More

If you're looking for a hostel which is cheap, clean, has a friendly vibe and is within a walkable distance to all the best tourist areas of New Orleans - heres your place. I stayed there solo, met a whole bunch of different groups passing through who were welcoming and fun and can't say a bad word about it. AAE... More

I was disappointed by my stay in this house. For the price I think it's overrated. I literally slept in a closet. The breakfast by the way was good and I enjoyed it. The location is also not the best. But this place is still recommendable.

My husband and I are seniors and stayed in a small private room for 6 nights during Mardi Gras. Our rate was very reasonable, especially for a stay during Mardi Gras. The staff is great, exceedingly helpful and friendly. The make-it-yourself from the batter AM pancakes are good as is the better than average coffee available, although one morning they... More
