We were granted this room on Priceline express deals and I heavily rely on reviews so when i read the reviews I was afraid to death. I even tried to cancel the room but I couldn't so it was either waste money or give it a try . So we drove to New Orleans with low expectations and they met... More

Extremely disappointing. We were placed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Could hear construction noise well pass 6:00pm. Room not remotely business-friendly. No desk chair. When called down, I was told that new ones were being ordered to match height of elevated desk, but that they would send up standard chair. It never arrived. Desk light did not work,... More

Yes, the hotel makes it clear that it is under construction as they transition from a W to a Le Meridian, however things could be improved for guests occupying rooms during this period. Many hotels can not afford to fully shut down as they change flags, however it would seem logical not to have occupied rooms on floors that have... More

Not that Motel 6 is bad, but for the money I paid for this hotel it should have been WAY better! The lobby of what use to be The W and is now Hotel New Orleans was fairly decent....when we got to our room it was small and such an inconvenience! There were crumbs on our floor, the drawers were... We recently reserved 2 of what was formerly called Wow suites when it was a W hotel. The website did advise that the hotel was under construction, but it did not advise of the inadequacies of the staff or the new suites. We were quickly reassured by email that the construction would not effect our stay and that the staff... More

I acknowledge that it's transitioning. But the construction, while significant, can't explain the room inadequacies (tissue holder installed backwards, no fan in bathroom, tiny rooms, no ice buckets, no drawer space, ill-fitting sheets, etc.) or incompetence of the staff. DON'T STAY HERE. There are so much ways to save a little money (without spending forty bucks on parking)!

I thought I was staying at a W and this did not meet their typical standards. When I stayed at this hotel recently, it was going through some construction and change of ownership. It is a great location. I was looking for a hotel outside French Quarter but an easy walk to it. The room was comfortable with good bedding,... More

The hotel was okay, but it should've been great. It's under renovation and will become a Le'Meridian in the fall. Was there for a weekend and the location was great, right betwwen the warehouse district and the French Quater, The rooms were very small, fit 2 full size beds, and that's is about it. I didn't eat there but we... More

I went here 6 months ago and I enjoyed my stay. I went again in June 2014 and it has turned out to be terrible. I know it is switching to a Le Meridien and going to be new in shiny, but the current staff is terrible, except for one desk lady (unfortunately forgot her name). The staff is apathetic... More

Hotel designed to be trendy, minimalist stay.. Beds are comfortable, rooms are a little small, maid service is friendly, valet service a little pushy, hotel staff is helpful. Being renovated so noisy by day. Have stayed in nicer hotels for lessmoney
