Stayed here only for one night after a business trip. The room was freshly redone. If you aren't planning on hanging out at the hotel very much and are just using it to sleep, it's a great deal. The hotel is due to be officially unveiled as Le Meridian in December when they will have their bar and restaurant reopen.... More

As the other reviewers have noted, while I stayed here in November 2014, this hotel was in the process of undergoing a renovation as it transitioned from a "W" hotel to a Le Meridian. I purchased my double room on Priceline for around $220 for two nights. Therefore, I was looking for a clean hotel without any amenities and this... More

We missed the front door of the lobby twice, since we needed to find the door. Everyone at the front desk was very very helpful to us. We needed some help since we are Shabbot Observant, but, surprisingly enough, all of the workers 'understood' what was needed! In the lobby was free good coffee and tea and fresh apples. Right... Had read recent reviews and was a bit apprehensive. The hotel is currently under a renovation and there were a few reviews complaining about it. After my stay, I'm sure the finished project will be great. The hotel decor is very modern and staff were very accommodating. I asked for a room on a higher floor so it could be... More

You really can't open a hotel when you don't have a permenant bar and lobby prepared. The room was nicely appointed, but with the most horrible of views (concrete wall). One thing that bothered me immensely was the lamps on the night stands didn't match. It threw off the symmetry of the room. The TV was also way too big... More

Attended a conference in New Orleans and stayed at the Intercontinental. Wonderful location just off Canal Street and short walk to the Superdome. Friendly staff, very accommodating. Wonderful restaurants within minutes....

This hotel is currently under renovation; it's the former W on Poydras. First, I was never informed that the hotel changed names; thankfully my reservation was still intact. My room has not been serviced/cleaned in 2 days, despite multiple calls and requests. The lack of follow-up/follow-through of the staff has been inadequate. Good location, but that's about it so far.... More

This was one of the worst hotels that I have stayed in years. It was orginally the W however it is WORST . This hotel was going through a re design . There is paint buckets , junk old plaster , etc throughout the property. My room smelled like a paint can. Woke up sick and trid to work with... More

By the time I stayed there, most of the construction to turn it from a W into a Le Meridien has been done. (They still need to remove the word WET from the bottom of the pool.) The lobby was well-decorated. The staff were very nice. Everything is a bit slower in the South so check in took a bit... More

I first stayed at this hotel for one night in the spring and had an average experience having to switch rooms twice to get something that was relatively quiet and not oddly and uncomfortably shaped. I heard they were renovating, so decided to give it another shot...and this is probably going to be my last experience. As an SPG Gold... More
