Great location! Only a block from the Quarter! We were fortunate to book one of the balcony rooms overlooking St. Charles. It was a standard Courtyard room, slightly small, but we were only there to sleep so it was perfect. Be sure to hop on the streetcar and cruise through the Garden District. An excellent tour for under $2.00. Hop... more
My husband insists on staying at Marriotts in order to earn points, even though he is approaching having a million of them. I wasn't thrilled to have to stay at one in New Orleans, as I clearly would have preferred a boutique hotel (where our friends were staying). Nontheless, he won on this one, so we booked this hotel. Although... more
Stayed here for about a week on business in May. I have to say that it was much nicer than I expected. The staff was especially helpful. If you ever need anything, ask for "Bull". He was the concierge that does everything and anything for hotel guests. Including, coming in on his days off. The rooms were quite comfortable, but... more
This Courtyard is fine for the money. I agree with others the rooms are small and need the Marriott update burt it was clean and the staff was very accomodating. The breakfast was typical Courtyard. The Breakfast attendant was super nice and very eager to please. You are less than a block from Royal Street and are on the St... more
My husband surprised me for an overnight trip to New Orleans. We live a little over 2 hrs away, so I have been to NO several times and stayed at some of the best hotels (Royal Sonesta, Chateau Sonesta, etc). For the price you can not beat the location. You are 1 block over from what is considered the french... more
The Courtyard New Orleans St. Charles has a couple things going for it. First is its location, splitting the distance between the business district and bourbon street. It is right next to the J.W. Marriott and on the St Charles Streetcar line. The hotel is clean and quiet. My room faced an interior courtyard so I didn't hear any street... more
Just completed a nice 3-day stay. Location is great, with an easy walk to the French Quarter. It is as good or better than the many Marriott Courtyards that I have stayed at. I had a nice corner room 415 which faced the street and not the inner courtyard. The corner room was much bigger than my co-workers regular room,... more
This hotel has a good location for the French Quarter, RiverWalk and French Market. The rooms are not huge. There was a daily breakfast buffet for $9.95. I didn't eat it, but it seemed pretty cheap. There is a hotel bar, but it rarely had anyone in it. Overall, I was happy with the stay for the price. more
This was a wonderful no frillies hotel room. We were lucky enough to get the best room in the house with a awesome balcony. It is just the right distance from the action. more
