The hotel is situated about a block off Bourbon Street and a few off of Canal in a cool classic building. Bars, restaurants, and drugstores are all near by. Getting back and forth to the exhibition center was a breeze. I was surprised at how quiet it was in the room. I assume this was due to it facing the... more

I was pleasantly surprised by this charming old hotel right in the heart of Bourbon Street. The hotel is old but very well maintained. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lovely pool/courtyard area provided a nice oasis. Admittedly, the bar is quite small, and the only dining option is breakfast. But all in all I recommend this wholeheartedly. more

I've stayed at this hotel twice over the past 6 months while I was in New Orleans on business. The hotel is older, and you will almost certainly have some paint peeling on the windows, but the location is very close to the French Quarter experience - maybe a block away - so if you're interested in some Bourbon Street... more

I reserved my room a week in advance. I had fast, friendly service upon arrival. Hotel is in a great location. The first night, I was awakened at 3:30 AM because my Air Conditioner was making a loud noise and was vibrating the room. I tried to ignore it and simply made a comment to the front desk the next... more

I stayed here at the end of March on buisness. As a previous hospitality employee, my standards are kinda high. When you pull up, it looks great, friendly bellman escort you inside. Then front desk staff was not very friendly and just checked you in without a smile or barely making eye contact. I was very scared to go up... more

Friends, especially for those Who Remember the Quarter: you should face some reality checks. First: where do you think those still-friendly service and hospitality folk have to commute from these days? Consider this: the Quarter survived and it'll come back; much of NOLA did not and has not yet. For an older property that has, frankly, been amalgamated from older... more

We had a group stay here in April 2008. The hotel's location is great - easy to walk everywhere. Plus the rooms are pretty quiet so you can get a decent night sleep without having the loud quarter noise. The rooms are pretty dark though - need more lighting, especially at night. The bathrooms are very small. The hotel staff... more

The location of this nice hotel is just 1 block from Bourbon Street, which is of course great! I liked the deco of the large hotel rooms that they have, but bathrooms are small. Breakfast is terrible! I booked a rate including breakfast, what I got was a cup of coffee, cheap orange juice and 1 danish pastry! This is... more

We stayed at the Chateau Lemoyne April 9-11, 07. We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is very convenently located walking distance to everything in the quarter yet far enough away to be quiet at night. The lobby and bar are nicely laid out and comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful. The ladies at the front desk were warm... more
