This was my first time in New Orleans and the group I was travelling with had stayed at the Rathebone before so I figured it couldn't be that bad, right? I was wrong. The breakfast each morning was delicious, along with the coffee and the hospitality from Tanya was above and beyond, but the cleanliness of the room was where... More

I couldn't understand the disparity in reviews before I got here. I think lovers of Rathbone and haters have the story right. It's a historic home, so it smells old. There is some cosmetic stuff that could be improved, and we did see a roach. If you are going for the historic, New Orleans experience, that's part of it. We... More

This place is fun! It's not hospital clean, the food is really good-but not gourmet, there ARE ghosts, crazy neighbors and street noise. You will not be enveloped in luxury...but you will also sleep comfortably, enjoy fun conversation and see the 'neighborhood' side of things, in a cool building with character and history. Our family loved it (but didn't have any... More

Me and my friend stayed at Rathbone Mansions for a week while in New Orleans and we were very happy about it. Our room was perfect! Big and beautiful. The people who worked there were very nice and happy to talk to you and help you with everything, they even booked activities for you (called the business and made the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Rathbone Mansions for a week from March 18 to March 25. We could not have been more pleased and satisfied. It's just two blocks from the quiet side of the French Quarter so it's quiet yet only a short 15 minute walk to Bourbon Street. Our room was on the second floor of... More

My husband and I found the Rathbone on the internet and the reviews lead us to take a chance on booking a small inn just outside the Quarter. After confirming however, we started to second guess this decision. However, We are so glad we booked and stayed here! It was very conveniently located on the quiet side of the quarter... More

After being stranded at another bed and breakfast we were graciously allowed to stay here for 1 night. If we ever come back to NOLA we will stay here and we highly recommend it for anyone coming to the city. The location is outstanding, Pat is outstanding, and the value and rooms are great.

We stayed at a lovely room only one block away from the French Quarter on Esplanada. The room was big and overlooked a lovely courtyard with welcome cookies in a baggie on the table. Breakfast was nice where we got to talk to other guests staying there to see what was good to do. There is a pool and hot... More

My friend and I stayed 6 days at the Rathbone during our stay in New Orleans. Upon arrival, our room had been updated to a King Bed suite instead of the double we had booked. Nice, super clean and spacious courtyard suite decorated in classic southern style. The neighborhood felt super safe and we were about 15 minutes away front... More

The Rathbone, along with Pat and her crew, are simply great. My girlfriend and I loved the building and felt like we were staying with family or long-time friends. Breakfast was always great. If we had a question about the city, Pat and her wonderful staff were always available with answers that never failed. When looking at some of the... More
