First, let me say that the general manager, Pat, was very accommodating to my wife and I. Knowing that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, she upgraded us to the Louis Armstrong Suite, which was a nicely appointed 2 bedroom suite on the second floor, looking out over Esplanade Ave. with a very lovely balcony and a terrific hammock. We... More

This place is fantastic. My partner and I stayed for pride weekend. Pat the inn keeper was lovely. The rustic charm of old New Orleans is all over this place. This will be our "go to" place to stay from now on when we come down. Taking a dip in the salt water pool is a great way to start... More

I could not write enough to say how wonderful our time at Rathbone Mansion was! We spent 10 days here! Tanya & Pat are amazing woman & the daily breakfast is always fresh & tasty! We had been travelling around the states for quite a while & had never felt such hospitality or felt so welcome then we did here.... More

What a total DISAPPOINTMENT ! I made reservations for my wife and me and for another couple. I’ll just list a few of the issues with this place (mind you I was trying to look at the positives since I made the reservations) The property grounds were un-kept and weedy. The pool/patio area is a disgrace because it’s FILTY DIRTY... More

What a disappointment. Just got back last evening. The place is FILTHY and it smells. The pool is Disgusting obviously they never clean it, including the hot tub. Cigarette butts everywhere, dirty ash trays all over the place. GROSS... I've never stayed at a place so bad! The food equally as bad!!! Even the coffee was cold. The innkeeper is... More

Upon arrival there is NO parking. Very difficult to find a safe place to park. The bed and breakfast itself was rustic but had a very welcoming feel to it. The staff was great and we LOVED the gal serving breakfast. The room itself smelled really bad of mold and my husband having allergies immediately started sneezing and became sick.... More

Arrived late around 9pm and found a note on the door, telling us where to get the key for the room. It was kind of fun, almost like a scavenger hunt to find the key and then find your way to the room. Being an old property, is one thing, but I think it could have been cleaner, with hair... More

My husband and I spent a week here in the main house, room 9. Pat and Tonya were awesome and gave us all the info on what to do and where to eat, and Pat even booked us on a great tour of the city given by a local guide. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the coffee! The pool and... More

I stayed at the historic Rathbone Mansion with my husband and my mother recently and had a very pleasant experience. We had a room with two queen beds, tv, microwave, and refrigerator, The room was plenty large enough for us and was decorated to period of style, If you are looking to stay somewhere high end, this will not be...
