We booked for 6 wonderful nights at Rathbone Mansions. The (always charming!!)manager Ms. Pat was on hand to greet us and even offered an upgrade to a larger room! A lovely gesture, but we really wanted to stay in the "main" mansion so were shown to our room and it was simply lovely. Decorated with original art, period style furniture... More

Older mansion...just slightly out of the French Quarter......these are the only limitations to this resort......otherwise it is an excellent value with a very friendly staff. The weekend "something extra" breakfasts are very good...while the regular breakfast fare starts your day off right! Room was very comfortable, exceptionally clean and well taken care of for an 1800's mansion. Pat, the host,... More

My friend and I stayed at the Mansion for 4 nights and it was wonderful! The Mansions are beautiful, warm, and inviting. The beautiful Creole gardens were so lovely to sit in (I loved the banana tree!) and the salt water pool was so relaxing and pretty, it was my favorite part. Our suite was clean, up-to-date, and adorable. Breakfast... More

Miss Pat, the innkeeper, is a lovely lady and for that reason I hesitate to post an honest review. However....this place just isn't worth what is charged. Our second-floor rooms (we had a two room, two-bed suite), were on the second floor, accessed by an outside staircase. It rained while we were in New Orleans, and getting up and down... More

My husband and I stayed here and had a great experience! During the week you get a continental breakfast and on the weekends some extras, like banana pecan pancakes or eggs done your way. They always had a basket of chocolate chip pecan bars (home made!)setting out for everyone as they returned from their daily adventures. The hosts are knowledgeable... More

The staff were very helpful and hospitable, they really took pride in looking after their guests. The rooms were both spacious and luxurious, and it is only a 10 minute walk from the French quarter. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I was so happy with my stay at the Rathbone. Me and best friend travel quite often, we call them adventures instead of vacations. It started with the check in process, was the first step and like a treasure hut, behind each lock box or door a bigger and better surprise. Yes the stair way up to our suite was... More

I was pleasantly surprised about the Rathbone Mansion. The ladies that run the place are super cool and very helpful. The location is in walking distance to the French Quarter (Bourbon, Royal), Frenchman, Canal Street... so much fun stuff close by.. 15 minutes walk to everywhere. I liked the fact that you could actually get a good nights sleep because... More

The staff is knowledgeable and fun. The quarters feel like the vacation home you've always wanted. Everything is within walking distance, but far enough from Bourbon Street that you will still get a god night's sleep (especially with how comfy the beds are!).

We got a small room, at a great price. Stayed 3 nights. Was surprised how quiet it was to sleep. The pool & hot tub was awesome! The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. Parking is $$extra in the locked gate, so I tried parking on the street...my car was fine.
