During a recent road trip we arrived in New Orleans, a place where my wife had never been and my last visit was 30 years ago. We decided to spend the night and see Bourbon Street at its best or may its worst. Without a reservation we presented ourselves at the front desk and were received like old friends. In... More

Last week, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton, San Francisco, and the disappointing visit prompted me to write my very first review. This week I stayed at the Ritz in New Orleans - hence this, my second TA review. Although this property is in an older building and doesn't have the high-tech bathrooms that many of her sister hotels do... More

We enjoyed the old world charm and ambience during our 5 day stay. Great Jazz in the lounge bar was fantastic as we snacked on tasty jambalaya fritters with bubbles. The staff are engaging and helpful throughout; reception, concierge who arranged our tours to the coffee cart. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed the fare which was simply one... More

The rating is based on the staff, more so than the hotel itself. Upon arrival, was welcomed by every staff person thfat passed by. Front desk was friendly and prompt. Though out the two day stay, found all staff to be friendly. The hotel and room itself was nice, but not great. Found some of the carpets worn but not... More

Obviously it is a 5 star luxury and basically everything is as should be. However, when you compare with alike, the architecture making you change elevators, levels and wander around corridors is a little trouble. Why there was no coffee or tea available in the room? Why not use balconies present at each floor? The only patio from time to... More

Dear Pawel411, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding a recent visit to our hotel. As far as the layout of the hotel goes, did you know this building was not originally designed to be hotel, but instead built in 1910 as department store with offices on the upper floors? When The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans purchased this building we redesigned... More

This hotel is definitely at the bottom end of Ritz Carlton standards. The hotel is badly in need of rehab. The carpets are warn, and the furniture sad. I stay at Ritz Carltons almost weekly and can't think of another one that is this poorly maintained.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in the Maison Orleans Club Level for 3 nights while I attended a meeting at the JW Marriott 3 blocks away down Canal Street. The Ritz is an island of serenity bordering on the hub-bub of the French Quarter. Occasionally we could hear some rowdiness emanating from the street (we were there during Wrestlemania-which... More

The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans is top-notch! Great spa; terrific people; fun bar; excellent breakfast; all fantastic! I usually don't rave about hotels, but the people here are so nice that they deserve some attention. The beds are unbelievable! I loved their shhets at the spa so much I bought some. Great city and stay.

I had an excellent stay at the Ritz-Carlton. I was there for business and found it to meet my high expectations. I had a large room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. My only complaint was that it overlooked Canal Street, which can tend to get loud at night. But in New Orleans you should expect these... More

We stayed at the Ritz for a 4 day company event. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. I wanted to give a special shout out to the F&B team for their food presentation and taste. Just outstanding. The servers were so attentive and made sure that even the slightest requests were not an imposition. They definitely lived... More
