We stay at the Four Seasons and Ritz-Carltons somewhat regularly and I have to say I was a little disappointed with this one. The lower floors smelled like bleach all the time and the carpeting in our room was pretty beat. It sort of looked clean, but when I wiped up a little water that I spilled the washcloth was... More

We selected the Ritz for the July 4th weekend Essence Festival and it was the right decision. From its prime location on Canal to the superb service, it was by far our best stay ever in New Orleans. What I liked most about the hotel was the ambience. The decor is definitely centered with a French flair without being too... More

First time here what a wonderful place and staff. After a tough day it was nice to be greeted with a smile at the front desk. Christine was a great and made my check in flawless. She was also very knowledgeable about the area and provided me with the information I needed to get to my morning appointment.

From the valet parking, JJ, to the servers at the reception, smiles, greetings and assistance was over the top!! I appreciated everyone especially since I was on crutches wearing a soft cast. The room was kinda small and having the dressing table right in front of the door was just plain dumb. Every time someone knocked, you had to get... More

My partner and I decided to take a quick weekend getaway for my birthday. I selected the Ritz-Carlton because I wanted to see if it stands to its wonder reputation. In most regards, it's an amazing hotel. It's definitely one of the top 5 hotels in NOLA. The Ritz-Carlton is in a very conveniently location (Canal street) right on the... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Ritz and found it to be everything we wanted...close to the streetcar lines and close to the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter (but not too close). The staff was top notch from the valets and doormen to the front desk, concierge and waitstaff. Everyone was quick with the friendly greeting and willing,... More

Old world charm with all of the amenities! One of the best lounges with Jazz master, Jeremy Davenport. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all of the Ritz amenities. Common areas are wonderful but what stands out here is the staff. They will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. Located 1 block... More

We booked a suite for one night on 7/19/14 by calling the hotel directly. The cost was $599 plus all the parking fees. When we booked I was very specific that I wanted a 2 queen bed room with a sleeper couch. I let the hotel know this was a joint bachelor/bachelorette event for us in NOLA and this set... More

Staff: Every staff person was friendly and genuine. No way to improve the staff here. Pros: - staff, clean, bright, courtyard, cocktails, service, quiet Cons: - live band from 5:30 on in the bar some nights (loud), broken up layout, weight room a bit small Go back? Yes, I would. Right on Canal St. which is sort of like the... More

This is one go the top hotels I have stayed in. I had a room on the club level and they really take care of you! Free everything! This was my first time staying on a club level of a hotel. I was in town on business with several others. The location is fantastic. It was pretty safe outside at... More
