It was a pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Somewhat expensive for the the old style room, that can use some renovating, especially the bathroom! Broken tiles on the floor. Breakfast, very simple but ok. Nice street, with public transport to French quarter.

Friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at in New Orleans! Location is good - trolley stopped right in front. Couple of good restaurants and bars very close. Great for the budget because price is good, continental breakfast included, and cheap transportation (trolley). Room is tiny, and bathroom needed a little more cleaning. Tub grout had a few spots of mold.... More

The female employee that I thought confirmed our reservation was not such a nice person. She actually cancelled our reservation 3 days before we got there so when we walked in, the owner had to scramble to find us a room and this was a room we booked in January. The owner was wonderful though and made up for it.... More

Room 14 was absolutely filthy. The sheets looked used and unclean, the bathroom still have the pervious guests hair and spit in the sink. A layer of dirt and hair covered the perimeter of the room with rodent feces on the furniture. management doesn't seem to give a care...stay away!!!

Reservation was for 3 nights during Mardi Gras. Checked in and found room filthy. Sheets, towels, bathroom floors full of hair. We checked out just a couple of minutes from checking in. Spoke to Manager the next day. He would not refund us any of the 3 nights stay. He said it was policy.

Room 24 was the room I was given. You have to enter through an outside porch which is a smoking area. Cigaret butts everywhere. No light, the electricity is broken according to the office. To say the room was filthy is an understatement. I've never seen sheets that filthy. A layer of hair and dirt was all around the perimeter... More

We stayed here two nights. Rooms aren't huge, but they are clean and have a lovely antique feel to them, apart from the cable tv in the middle. Bathroom was clean. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was bagels, toast & spreads, pastries, yoghurt, cereal and boiled eggs, which I was pretty impressed with considering the cheap price. Only negatives were... More

Stayed here during the Sugar Bowl and was in a good location for walking around the town. We could actually see the Superdome from our window. The staff was friendly, but they were understaffed to clean/turnover rooms after New Years Eve. Had to wait over and hour and a half to get into our room after check in time. Rooms... More

Room was filthy and we never saw a maid in the four days that we were there. I left my e-reader lying on a chest and know it was there. When I called two hours after leaving, I was told that it was not there. I believe that the desk people believed this to be true.

The Historic Street Car Inn is located in a good location. It is in the Garden District on St Charles. It is within walking distance of the French Quarter, but it's not a short walk. It is also within walking distance of Layfayetter Cemetery 1 and Commanders Palace Restaurant. The street car does run right in front of the Inn.... More
