This was a very nice place to stay. You have to keep in mind this is an old hotel, not one of the big chains. The room was very nice, the tub faucet wouldn't turn off, but I didn't have to pay the water bill. The location is ideal, right on trolley line, short trip to downtown, and bourbon st.... More

We stayed 3 nights here, it was great. Beautiful building and very helpful staff, especially the owners but they are all good. Free breakfast is basic but great when your on the run. The price is perfect, its not cheap in new orleans. The garden district is not far where you can take a walking tour to see the most... More

We stayed 3 nights and found it the best place to stay for the money. Glinda at the reception was amazingly kind and helpful. The Inn is on St Charles and the trolley stops right in front. Downtown, the French Quarter are a short ride away. Room was beautifully adorned is vintage furnishings. Room and bath were small but very... More

I was in room 40 and it was very dusty and the tub looked as if it had been painted several of times and the towels was old looking but the house keeper was a nice Jamaican woman who I barely understood.

ON 11/22/2014 I was told that I would have to wait until 3:00 pm for my room to be open... OK..... During shift change no one gave shift report to let the lady GLENDA BODE no that I was awaiting for my room first. But I am listening to Glenda tell the lady that was going off shift that's ok... The Good: Great location and beautiful, historic mansion. I could imagine being in the 1800's as I walked the chandelier-decorated halls and observed the architectural detail. The building was right in front of the streetcar route and minutes from downtown and great restaurants. The Bad: Five times I called the hotel en route to checking in and nobody answered...The excuse... More

The room was decent, the continental breakfast about what we expected, but the floors in the room and bathroom were actually dirty enough that the bottom of my feet were filthy. When I realized that my feet were leaving black marks when I entered the shower, but that my soles of my sandals were clean, I used a washcloth to... More

The Inn did in a pinch during a holiday weekend when most places were sold out, or charging astronomical prices. The central location is wonderful for getting to the French Quarter, the Garden District, and Magazine Street. Keep in mind the Inn is not in the verdant, quiet part of the Garden District you might be imagining. It is quite... More

Pros: Great location, nice staff.... Cons: The need for a remodel is on the "emergency" level Deal-breaker: We didn't stay in the main building - we were shown to our room, which was through the courtyard, up the stairs of the next building. Worse parts: The door to the room was damaged; there were dead bugs in the door frame;... More

I will be brief, Charming, great location on the street car line, helpful staff and plenty of eateries at hand. The 2 rooms we experienced ( was not happy in the first room) were so musty that the smell lingered in my clothing after we vacated. We opened our window as opposed to the air con being on but there... More
