Booked a spur of the moment trip to NOLA for a quick 2 night trip and wanted an inexpensive place to stay. The Inn is cute, great location, and the staff was very friendly but the housekeeping and maintenance left much to be desired. There was a leak in the bathroom above us which made our bathroom very wet and... More

My sister and I stayed here on our way through town. From the moment we walked in, we were grinning fools. We adore historic hotels and this one was no let down. The staff is friendly as can be and the building is absolutely darling. Of course it's a bit run down. Consider the age, price, and location and set... More

Well I didn't wanna seem like a spoiled brat, I tried not to complain to the staff about the service. But I wouldn't recommend the place be your first choice, first we stay in room 23 which is right by the stairs so you can hear everyone going up and down. The was okay but you can tell it was... We arrived with a last minute change of plans with a room situation, and Wendy without hesitation was able to accommodate my family and I. It is an older hotel which is what I expected from a structure from the 1800's. There are some great places to eat around the corner along with the trolley that takes you to the... More

Staff is nice which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. There was no maid service, appliances were broken, and room was dirty. Had to ask to be moved to a different room with working shower. Not impressed.

We were originally booked to stay in another hotel in NO but due to a few issues we checked out early after finding this gem of a hotel. Check in was a breeze. Hotel room was a good size and the location of the hotel was awesome. You are within walking distance of the WWII Museum and The French Quarter.... More

There is a reason they CROP the exterior photo to only the Inn's facade; it's not really in Garden District neighborhood, more like: freeway-adjacent, next to pizza shop, Office Depot, Wendy's and other biz concerns. Eh. Outside - cute paint job, nice porch (overlooking busy, kinda ugly section of street.) Inside - dim, dingy, okay little courtyard, but everything else... More

Glenda, the on duty hostess, when I called to make the same-day reservation, was very sweet and kind. She was helpful and made the reservation very quickly for us. When we arrived, everything was very clean and toddy. Checking in was a breeze. Our rooms were very comfortable and well-sized. Our dog was welcomed, and it was easy to take... More

The room we stayed in should be closed by the city inspectors. We paid a premium price for a dirty, run down room. Cobwebs, lumpy dirty beds, stained dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper, mold in the bathtub crevasse between times. I have never been in any hotel that nasty in all my years of travel!

This would not be my first choice (closer to last resort) for a return trip New Orleans. We stayed here during an impromptu trip to Jazz Fest. We chose the Streetcar Inn because the price was reasonable and it seemed prices all over New Orleans had been drastically inflated to take advantage of last minute Jazz Fest travelers. So, here...
