My family and I stayed in the the bride and groom suites for 4 days around the new year. We had a great time, Glen and Randy are very hospitable, we had great breakfasts and enjoyed meeting the other guests. Glen and Randy never steered us wrong on where to go. Easy walk to the french quarter, we'd do it... More

If you're looking for a place to stay that embodies the heart and soul of New Orleans, then this is the place to be. A generous host, comfortable rooms, lovely food, wonderful people. This place has so much character... Be sure to ask about their resident ghost. It's perfectly located about 10 minutes walking distance from the French Quarter -... More

We stayed in the garden suite, which I liked. As others have mentioned, there's no bathroom door, although that wasn't a problem for us. The common areas of the house are chock full of stuff - the place would be more comfortable if there weren't quite so many knickknacks around (especially in the parlor and dining room). We were there... More

the Whitney House is a charming, wonderful and elegant B and B. The owner was ever present when you needed him and an excellent cook. You could not want a more perfect place from which to enjoy New Orleans.

We have just had 3 nights stay at the Whitney B & B and have to say that we were sorry to be leaving the place. We can't understand the prev review on here as we had a great experience. The innkeeper Randall was truly amazing from the first point we walked through the door. We felt like we had... More

The house and yard is in a state of disrepair with loose rails on stairs, balcony in poor condition, unattached vanity and toilets. Bed linen unchanged during stay (6days), cloth table napkins reused, fountains full of slime and sludge. Very cluttered both inside and out. Host's attitude needs adjusting as it seems he'd really rather there were no guests. Breakfast... More

If you like boring and prefer cooking-cutter accommodations stay at a chain hotel that is the same all over the world. If you want a genuine one-of-a- kind New Orleans experience try the HH Whitney House. Sadly I was there only for one night but it was a real introduction to NOLA past and present. On the Esplanade north of... More

This was our first time to the "Big Easy", and to the HH Whitney House. I read great reviews when I booked our trip in March, and frankly I'm surprised the reviews were so positive. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time in New Orleans, and enjoyed the house and our room to the fullest. There are just... More

This was our first trip to New Orleans and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The Solarium Suite was great. Plenty of space for relaxing and sleeping. The porch swing on the front gallery was a great place to sit with a bottle of champagne and watch the rain coming down. Glen was a wealth of information... More

Our first trip to New Orleans was amazing thanks to this great B&B. After booking off their website I received immediate correspondence from Glen outlining everything I needed to know about arriving in New Orleans and getting to their property (including how much a taxi would cost) so we had absolutely no surprises. Once we arrived Glen sat down with... More
