We stayed during Christmas week and found a great bed and breakfast with hot gourmet breakfasts cooked to order. It is only a block from the French Quarter and is a wonderful place with cottages and well maintained lush courtyards. more

The Garlands is a great place to stay! The B&B is a couple of blocks from the Quarter and from some great food. The people there helped us decide the best places to go and made our arrangements for us. I could not have been more pleased. Great value too considering we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast every morning. We enjoyed... more

I took my neice to this city: the first time for both of us and our stay at the Garlands was one of the highlights. A truely authentic, unique place to be and stay. The breakfast was great and Mary is delightful and so helpful from arranging the accomodations to making reservations for day trips and excursions. The doggies are... more

I had never been to New Orleans before and for some reason I was given the assignment to find us a place to stay. I stumbled across this place through a search engine and boy am I glad I found it. You are always nervous about a place being completely different from it's pictures. Not this place. It was just... more

During March 2009 me and two of my friends stayed for 5 days. It isn't in the middle of the French Quarter but because it is not in the middle of all the noisy streets, garlands house is the best place to rest. During the day, a walk (less than 5 min) will take you into the center of french... more

Fantastic! That’s all there is to say about Mary and everyone at the Garlands. Not to mention our superb cottage! A group of friends and my husband and I were looking for a place to house 6 people together that was in walking distance to everything. Since we were going to be there for 4 nights we wanted to have... more

We have been staying at Garlands Guest House for a number of years now, and don't think there's a better place to stay in New Orleans. The location is good, across the street from the French Quarter, so you can walk to everything without being in the middle of the noise. You get to stay in your own cottage, individually... more

In addition to being rich in history, the Garlands Guest House was a wonderful “anchor” for our trip – starting out our day with gourmet breakfasts, (which were different everyday!) and ending our evenings sitting at a table outside our adjoining cottages with a bottle of wine (or 2). Mary & her staff were all helpful & we enjoyed sharing... more

My husband and I had a great stay at the Garlands Guest House in January. We have been to New Orleans several times and have stayed at a variety of places, including some of the big chain hotels. If you are looking for something more personal and with local flavor, we recommend this place. The rooms are very nicely decorated... more

My husband and I stayed at the Garlands guest house for our first wedding anniversary. We had a marvellous stay. The people who run it are so helpful and nice. For example, we asked for restaurant recommendations for our anniversary and they immediately showed us the menus for several of the best restaurant in town. Breakfast each morning was delicious... more
