Excellent breakfast and dining area! Attractive lobby and pool. Comfortable beds and lots of pillows. Nice curved shower curtain gives extra room in shower. It was wonderful having a fridge and microwave. For the price offered more than expected. Especially with past reviews. But this is a decent hotel and the staff was friendly. Very clean! Flaw was our bathroom... More

If you have a car, New Orleans East is a great place to stay in general because it is still convenient (no more than 30 minutes with traffic) to the typical Quarter and Uptown spots but you are also closer or as close than you would be to things natives love like Lakeside, Gentilly, Vietnamese East, Treme & Bywater. So... More

We were excited to be in New Orleans for the first time. Had trouble finding the hotel - partially due to an outdated GPS. After we called the hotel it was somewhat easier to find the place. One problem was that the sign high up on the building said Avalon Hotel. There was a temporary fabric sign at the street... More

This place is so far out of town, I'm not really certain I was in New Orleans. The taxi ride from the airport was $60. A bus to the center of New Orleans takes about an hour, and the stop is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You don't want to return after dark, which minimizes your time... More

This hotel was very clean and reasonably priced. Perfect for a one night stay and it's about a 15 minute drive to the French Quarter. Staff was not overly friendly but not rude either and they did their job quickly and efficiently. No complaints here!

My entire stay here was an horrific experience. I was injured here on 3/25/14 and the hotels GM and staff handled it in a very unprofessional manner. I was left with a black eye for two weeks and a scar in my face. The television chest doors malfunctioned and swung open and I now have a one inch scar and... More

Between the lack of service, lack of breakfast, and lack of Internet we will never be staying here again. Terrible choice of lodging for the price. Just because it's not in NOLA center and doesnt cost $300/night doesn't make up for terrible service and broken amenities.

This hotel served it's purpose for my husband and I. In a city filled with $350+ per night rooms, it was nice to find a reasonably priced room. We spent very little time in the room, only used it to sleep and shower. Check in was good. Bathroom tiny. Bed comfortable. Air conditioner was loud. Complimentary breakfast. Cab ride to... More

Okay I don't normally do this but I have to this time. I went here for Marti Gras and the place definitely needs a few renovations here and there. But because of Shawn, one the hotel manager she so made a difference regarding my experience there... Seeing how this was my first Marti Gras...lol... Anyway when I first got there... More
