The B&B was beautiful with large rooms, wonderful historic detail and a great location in the Garden District. The owners were around the place most of the time, and were willing to answer questions and provide other help. Overall it was a great place and we would stay there again!

Comfortable rooms, welcoming hosts, and the beauty of the Garden District make Sully Mansion a wonderful place to stay in NOLA. I've stayed here several times during the last five years, and it keeps getting better & better.

My husband and I stayed here in January 2016 for three nights. I knew we were in for a great stay when I was greeted by Gracie the dog with a wagging tail on the spacious and well appointed front porch. Once inside, Nancy greeted us warmly and allowed us to leave our bags after an early morning flight. She... More

Nancy and Guy were not only wonderful owner/hosts, but also amazing resources on everything New Orleans; culture, art, food, music. This was not our first visit, and certainly not our last, but we will only book the Sully Mansion for all future stays. Their location in the Garden District is within walking distance to fine restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and... More

This is an exquisite house with lovely proprietors. I was traveling alone and had a very pretty, very private and quiet room. The breakfasts are lavish and the huge porch is just heaven--beautifully furnished and so comfortable to sit and read or chat. Easy parking on the street. The Garden District is a special part of New Orleans and this... More

Sully Mansion is truly a gem among B&B's in NOLA. Located on a lovely street in the Garden District, the home itself is exquisite with amazing, original details, beautifully appointed large guest rooms and private baths, and knowledgeable innkeepers available to answer questions and offer guidance about the area. The Fournier's have extensive, detailed restaurant, nightlife and sightseeing information prepared... More

The Sully Mansion is a beautiful, distinctive and comfortable large home in an unbeatable Garden District location with great hosts, great breakfasts and the world's most adorable dog. You can tour all of the mindblowingly-pretty Garden District homes, walk to Magazine Street shops and restaurants or to the St. Charles streetcar or just lounge on the front porch or in... More

This was our second stay in a B&B. The first time was a little awkward but this time was much better. The inn keepers give you a great tour upon arrival. They have a cute, friendly little dog that loves guests. (Gracie) We only participated in breakfast once because we have another little restaurant that we visit for breakfast when... More

Just stayed here last weekend for a friend's birthday celebration. The place was filled with other friends and family and we had a fantastic experience! The building is gorgeous and I disagree with other reviewers who were complaining about its condition. It is an old house that has been restored and it has lots of charm, including some cracks in... This is a lovely building in the Garden District of New Orleans. A short trolley car ride takes you to the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, so the location was great. Our room was fine, but several of them need updating. As mentioned by others, the owners do have a strange way of dealing with people, we thought... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
