The hotel's location is excellent: Chartres Street in the French Quarter. You're just seconds away from the Mississippi, Jackson Square and the Café du Monde. Overal I was rather impressed with the accommodation at the Chateau. The hotel was in a great location but still enough distance from Bourban street to not be affected by the noise. This place looks nothing like they make it look online. It is loud, feels and looks dirty, and the water pressure in the shower is terrible! Do not use body wash it will take you an hour to wash it of! The free breakfast they offer is a choice between a cup of coffee or a glass of orange juice.... More

I loved this location because you're in a more quiet spot of the Quarter, but VERY close to everything in the Quarter. You're also an easy walk to Frenchman St were you can enjoy some local jazz. The hotel isn't perfect, but I was VERY pleased with the price and location. I'll be back. More

Non vacuumed floors, wear shoes to shower, bugs and nasty workers. For the price, not worth it, even factoring in the location. Take a cab to the quarter and stay some where you won't catch a disease!! More
