Good value for money given how much you can often pay in NOLA. The courtyard is lovely and check-in and parking process good. Rooms are musty with paper-thin walls. We had a group of inconsiderate college kids keep us up all night 2 nights in a row. The location is fantastic - 2 blocks from Jackson Sq.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband in late July. A group of our friends stayed down the street at the Lafitte Guest House. By the time we got around to booking our own room, there were none available at LGH so we chose to stay at the Chateau Hotel (2 blocks away). The hotel had everything we... More

This hotel is nice. Very pretty courtyard. I enjoyed my 2 night stay. Parking is $20 a day in a private lot. Check in and out took a few minutes. Breakfast consists of your choice of breads, fruit, and drinks. Walls are paper thin.

We stay every year! Have stayed in different rooms each time. It is an older very NOLA type of Hotel. The bedding is updated and comfortable. It is clean and the staff is always friendly. Located perfectly in the French Quarter. 1 1/2 blocks to French Market and the Trolley. 1 1/2 block from Jackson Square and 2 blocks from... More

When we booked this hotel I don't think we really clocked just how central it is. Brilliant spot in the heart of the French quarter but not in a loud street and at a decent price. The hotel has loads of character given its age- brilliant courtyard and pool to relax in. Valet Parking was appreciated at about $20 a... More

In the heart of the French Quarter--perfect location for being close to the party-action without being right in it. If you like quaint and historic (but with electricity and plumbing) at a very fair price, this hotel can not be beat. Rooms are a good size and scrupulously clean; amenities work well; courtyard and swimming pool provide a delightful haven... More

We returned again because our first stay a year ago was fab. This time was a different story. Our complimentary breakfast did not arrive. We would have survived that except that we only had 1 coffee set up in our room. Then it took 30 minutes to get our car after checking out. Location is great but service was not... More

Thanks for the support! We're so glad that you enjoyed your trip to the city. Keep in mind, on high volume weekends the parking lot becomes very full and it does take up to a half an hour to retrieve vehicles. Next time you're in town, we'd love for you to stay with us. This is my second time staying here at Chateau Hotel. Great location, right on Chartres St. A couple blocks away from Jackson Square and it's right in the Quarter. The staff is very nice and helpful. Free breakfast every morning, you choose what you want the night before. It's simple, just gives you a little something in the morning. You... More

I booked this hotel based on other TripAdvisor reviews and they were pretty spot on. The hotel is just lovely and the location can't be beat if you want to be within walking distance of everything without being too close to the noisy hubbub that the French Quarter can be. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was wonderful and extremely... More

Let's be clear, MOST hotels in the French Quarter of New Orleans are in 200 year old buildings, therefore, many suffer from wear and tear. Upon deciding to visit The French Quarter, one most realize that you are paying to stay in an incredibly eclectic area that is rich in history and ambiance. Hotels in The Quarter do not run... More
