Nice hotel, but what makes it exceptional is its location and staff. The rooms open into the courtyard which gives you an New Orleans feel. This is a true French quarter hotel so, some of the rooms can be small and others may have thin walls. So, when making the reservations be sured state "what you want" in your room.

The PROS : The hotel is great, we love old style and from that point of view, we were not disappointed. The location is excellent, in a very quiet area. The CONS : the air condition system, located on the roof, is very noisy; there is no dining room for having the breakfast : it is either in the bedroom,... More

My wife and I were spending 4 days in New Orleans. We wanted to park our car and walk throughout the city. Chateau Hotel Fit the bill. It is right in the French Quarter, quite close to the downtown area. We got there and the room was ready. Parking was more affordable than other restaurants in the area. We paid... More

Nice old hotel with a great courtyard. The room was very clean and very small. The idea was to just sleep in it rather than spend time in it. Sleeping in past 6:30 in the morning is impossible because our room was next to the street and the help, other guests, and passerby's seem to like hanging out in front... More

We looked at the pictures and the descriptions on the hotel web site, and were excited to get to stay at this hotel. To our big surprise and big dismay, upon checkin we found out that we had been placed in an annex down the street - OFF THE HOTEL. We have yet to find any place where there is... More

I am so sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience. I know our staff did try very hard to accommodate your needs, including removing a chair from our lobby to place in your room, as requested by you, responding to a number of reports about the bathroom which we found to be operating properly and housekeeping responded to your... We stayed there for two night and unfortunately I didn't sleep for the two nights. Our room was right on the street, very noisy. Apart from that everything was fine, nice swimming pool and nice location, we walked everwhere

If I could give this hotel a -1, I would. I imagine if you actually stay at the hotel, it may be nice. I booked based on the charming photos of the hotel on the website. Our group arrived late in the night to discover we were staying in an "annex" of the hotel down the block and right across... More

When we first arrived, I was greatly impressed by the beauty and architecture of the hotel. Also, the night concierge was very informative. I have beautiful photographs from this day. The rooms were nice. The bathroom was recently remodeled. However, the next day of our stay, when I went to get the keys to my car, I was shocked to... More

I'm so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us. That was our mistake and we should have owned up to it better. Thanks for taking the time to write us with your feedback. We're created some new rules for our valet system, so this shouldn't happen again. Cheers, Sarah Drake Manager More

Staff: Extremely friendly and helpful. Desk is manned 24/7. Location: Great. Central to the French Quarter Rooms: Make sure to request a room inside the hotel proper. Our first two nights, we were in a room in an adjacent house that opened directly onto the street. It was extremely small and poorly maintained. For our 3rd night, though, we were... More

I just got back from New Orleans and one of the best parts of our visit was this hotel. The hotel is very central to the French Quarter. It's a couple of blocks from Bourbon Street, a couple of blocks from the French Market and on the same street (Chartres st to be exact) as the St Louis Cathedral and... More
