While traveling with another couple we all can't say enough of how much we all loved staying here. It was clean and exceeded our needs. It is located perfectly for all events that you might be going to be attending in the french quarter. Chuck was the sweetest man and gave us some back ground of the guest house, which... More

Bon Maison is located at the quiet end of Bourbon St. No problem with noise or crowds, etc. This place is dripping with atmosphere. Nice courtyard, stylish rooms....but not a lot of bells and whistles....if that is what you are looking for.

Location was perfect. Chuck was very nice when he met us with the keys to check in. However, we didn't see him again until the evening before we were to leave. He had let us know we could come up to his room if we needed anything but we weren't really comfortable with that. Just needed trash emptied, clean towels,... More

I assisted the guests to park. I always mention to our guests that we do not provide daily housekeeping, unless requested. Also, I visited with them the second evening that they were here, and "all was well." The guys were playing cards and the ladies were getting ready to go our for the evening. I mentioned that if there were... More

We stayed two nights at Bon Maison in the Slave Quarters at the back of the property. If you want every modern convenience and everything 'just so' this isn't the place for you. If you want atmosphere, true New Orleans and a great location then this is for you. We were right in the heart of the French Quarter and... More

Chuck was incredibly attentive during the booking process and also I really appreciated him bothering to call me the day before to check what time I'd be arriving the next day. Thank you Chuck for that and your warm welcome. We didn't see Chuck after our arrival but that was fine since we are fairly independent but it would have... More

Sorry about some minor oversights (Shampoo, oops. We just started providing English shampoo and soap in the guest rooms.) We normally do a 'room check' prior to guests' arrival. Regarding smoke issues, WE DO NOT PERMIT SMOKING IN OUR GUEST ROOMS. Since all bars and restaurants in The French Quarter permit smoking, perhaps the smoke smells came from elsewhere. We... More

If you want location, location, location at a reasonable price, topped off with a very personable owner—Chuck—the Bon Maison is the place to be. You are on Bourbon Street. Jackson Square and the Mississippi are only a few blocks away. Restaurants, beautiful architecture and more, as said, are literally steps away. It is a great headquarters with a courtyard, and... I love the city of New Orleans ... especially the French Quarter ... and there is no better place to enjoy it than from The Bon Maison! Chuck and Butch are marvelous hosts, both very knowledgable about the city. Gracious and fun, they made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them... My friend and I stayed here for the very first time this March. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, we felt extremely welcome and very comfortable. As strange as it may sound, staying here on Bourbon Street felt like we were at home with our friends. Initially, I wasn't really sure about staying at a... More

I found Bon Maison Guest House to be a lovely place. It is on Bourbon Street but further along the street from the main party blocks. I didn't spend too much time on the property as I was too busy exploring the French Quarter on foot, but this can be considered a sign of just how central Bon Maison is... More
