I just checked out of the Blake, and I must say that I had a phenomenal stay here. Logistically speaking, the Blake is at the center of everything in New Orleans. Bourbon Street, Canal, the convention center and the Superdome are all wishing walking distance. The room was perfectly clean, cozy and comfortable. The best part about traveling with family... My husband, daughter and I booked a long weekend (Thursday to Monday) in New Orleans at the Blake Hotel on St. Charles Street. It was our first visit to New Orleans so we were not sure where to stay but knew we wanted to be close to the French Quarter but not in it for fear of too much noise... More

The hotel is an older remodeled hotel as are most of the hotels in the area near the French Quarter. The rooms are nice but you must have patience in waiting for the elevator. The staff is friendly. The price is reasonable for the area. The only real problem is parking which is always in issue in New Orleans. The... More

We stayed here for one night. The room was not the best I've seen at this price, but definitely clean and well-equipped. The hotel is close to the National WWII Museum, which turned out to be one of the most memorable attractions I visited in New Orleans. There are a couple of excellent restaurants nearby (around Intercontinental). Overall, no complaints.

The Blake Hotel is located near the French Quarter (about a ten minute walk) next to beautiful Lafayette Square. The hotel facade is sleek and modern however I have to say that facade should be used in the other manner as well because looks are deceiving. While the lovely lobby boasts bright modern decor, the rooms and elevator are anything... More

The hotel is centrally located. The service is less than optimal the beds were barely remade, hair from previous occupants of my room. To make it more interesting a LARGE ROACH made an impromptu visit while we were in the room. Housekeeping, sanitation or whatever it is called it's appalling. DO NOT expect cleanliness.

We booked two rooms through Travelocity, both with two queen size beds. When we got there the rooms each only had one king size bed. When we went back down to the front desk we were told that they had sold out of rooms with two beds and that Travelocity should have contacted us to let us know. There was... More

Recently sent to New Orleans Louisiana on business trip. First time there. I was very pleased with hotel accommodations. Good wi-fi in the rooms.. and computer access to printers and communal computers in the lobby. Very good cafe on the premises. The staff was friendly from top to bottom. For me, the location was within walking distance to my business... More

The Blake Is generally what you expect for a 3 1/2 star hotel. Decent, but not amazing bedding and service. We asked for a roll-way and waited for 3 hours, but it did arrive and they were apologetic. Staff was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Furnishings in lobby are updated and comfortable. The room was very tight though for 2 double... More

since it is off the French Quarter, it is pleasantly quiet except for the occasional sound of a trolley. Beds are very comfortable, but the room we had on the 6th floor was a little cramped for just the two of us. Very clean! Food in the cafe was very good although a little pricey but then so is most...
