The Chimes is an oasis of charm and seclusion in the perhaps the craziest, busiest city in the world. Beautiful place and beautiful people! Some bed and breakfast hotels are actually in someone's house which can be a little too cozy for me. These rooms are in an L shaped configuration around a small courtyard which allows for lots of... Not only is the staff welcoming and knowledgeable but the accommodations are calm and clean. Being in the same industry, I know what to look for and you find it ALL here. The rooms are comfortable, the grounds are kept, the area is gorgeous, the staff is like family, the breakfast is JUST enough. I will not stay anywhere else... More

Our favorite place to stay in NOLA. Jill & Charles are great hosts. Conversations at breakfast are always entertaining. The coffee, juices, fruits, cheeses, breads & sweet breads are all top notch. The location is perfect... in the beautiful Garden District on a quiet street, walking distance to St, Charles Street street cars, shopping on Magazine Street and, of course, good... More

Finishing up my six night stay at The Chimes and highly recommend it. Jill and daughter Yasmine were outstanding hosts who make you feel welcome from the moment you ring their doorbell. Breakfasts are great, rooms spotless and full of character, info about happenings throughout New Orleans (and places to eat) detailed and accurate. A great place to stay... not... More

This was our third stay at the Chimes. We stayed during our honeymoon, 5 year anniversary, and now the 10th. I'm sure there will be a future stay someday as well. Room A, off the garden, is our home away from home. We love the private entry and little touches that make it feel special. The bathroom is my favorite... More

We stayed for one night on a business trip. Jill could not have been more accommodating regarding our check in time or making sure that we had something to eat for breakfast even though we had to leave before 8am. Our room was spacious and comfortable. My favorite feature is the refrigerator stocked with beer and wine which is paid... More

We stayed 2 nights mid week as part of a graduation/family vacation. It was perfect for my husband, myself, and our 2 teenagers. We stayed in the carriage house. We had the upstairs bed/loft and the kids had a bed and a trundle bed on the ground floor. What I particularly liked was the private entrance to our room, the... More

We visited over Memorial weekend. I had never stayed in a B & B before, so didn't know what to expect. Jill and Charles couldn't have been nicer. It started with advice and phone numbers on getting there from the airport. Then being greeted by Jill, who gave us a tour, loaned us guide books and maps. Then every morning... More

The Chimes is my Touchstone place to stay in New Orleans. I have given myself the gift of promising Self that husband and I will stay there. Our stay at the Chimes is part and parcel of what makes New Orleans magical for us. It is a beautiful home away from home; each detail is perfectly executed. I cannot say... More

There are many phases to finding a great bed and breakfast experience. While each phase was perfectly executed by Jill and Charles (and children), I want to break it up and give you a glimpse of the five perfect days spent at The Chimes. Reservations: My reservations should have been a nightmare, but Jill expertly guided me through the process.... More

Wow! What can we say except, thank you for loving everything at the Chimes and in New Orleans, as well. Cory and Boone were the perfect tourist combing every neighborhood on public transportation, dropping into quirky neighborhood eateries, walking-walking-walking, and enjoying every minute of their visit to New Orleans. Both contributed so much to our breakfast table and our children... More
