The Chimes is relaxed, beautiful, cozy and perfectly located. You are treated like family whether you're there for 2 nights or 10. The property is located on beautiful Constantinople Street between St. Charles and Magazine and is walking distance to pretty much everything in Uptown and the Garden District. Anything you can't walk to is a taxi/streetcar/bus ride away. The... More

Had a great stay at The Chimes with our incredible hosts Jill & Charles! The room was spacious and comfortable and the outdoor area was very charming to enjoy a glass of wine at night. After staying in the hotels in the Quarter and CBD and the numerous issues we have had there, it's a no-brainer to continue to stay... More

While visiting Tulane, I stayed here for 2 nights. What a charming place. The owner, Jill, has been running this place for 30 years. I had a room on the 1st floor with high ceilings and decorated so nicely, it felt like I was just coming home for the evening. The place has a courtyard with a swinging bench. They... More

We’ve stayed at the Chimes in the past and did so again this past week. Neat, clean, safe, unique, convenient to much of New Orleans. Jill is wonderful and always does an excellent breakfast. She is very knowledgeable about the area….where to go/eat/etc. A fellow professor/friend who is from New Orleans led us to this B&B. By the way, Ignatius... More

We love getting away from bourbon street and this b&b is blocks away from great restaurants and bars, as comfortable rooms, and a delicious breakfast. We can walk the shops, grab food, and ride the trolley to more quiet attractions while still finding live music spots after dark.

Very nice stay last weekend at the Chimes Bed and Breakfast. Conveniently located in the heart of the Garden District, it was the perfect place to stay while in town celebrating my birthday. Our host was gracious enough to let us have a room for one night only. Most places don't allow that on the weekends. The room was very... More

Our room was small but lovely. The breakfasts were delicious, fresh decaf was made special for us each morning. Amazing fruit and pastries. Jill was so knowledgeable about the area and gave us great recommendations for music, directions, etc. A nice place to be away from the craziness but accessible.

We've stayed at the Chimes for years and will continue to do so. Sometimes my wife and I go alone, sometimes we bring our two kids, and it's a great place to stay for either. The beautiful neighborhood is perfect - near a streetcar stop, but away from other inns/hotels and tourists. You can also rent a car and it's... More

Chimes Bed and Breakfast was a charming retreat in the city. Nestled a few blocks away from the St. Charles Trolley Line in the Garden District, you're close enough to hop on public trans and move about the city without having the noise and craziness of the French Quarter. Despite having the smallest room, the space was comfortable and cozy.... More

The Chimes was a good pick. Comfortable, pleasant, in a quiet & walkable neighborhood. Just a few blocks in either direction for yummy eating. The neighborhood appeared very safe to me, with lots of great looking old houses. Good breakfast of simple high-quality foods. Would definitely stay there again.
