We have been in many Bed and Breakfasts and really liked this place. Stayed in the cottage, lots of room, laundry facility was easily available. Loved the breakfast. Travel to Europe a lot and maybe thats why we liked the breakfast that much. Fresh breads and pastry, coffee readily availabe during the morning which is very important to us. Great... More

First, I am not a fan of B & B's, having had some disappointing experiences. I approached this one with misgivings; it is in the Garden District, not near the action - so to speak. How wrong I was! After spending frantic times in the French Quarter, it was so welcome to get back to The Chimes' peace and quiet.... More

I have to rate this B&B as only average. I have never stayed in an American B&B before, but by European standards, this was a bit of a disappointment. The location was wonderful, near a St Charles trolley line stop and just on the edge of the garden district. However, the room was musty (perhaps this is standard for New... More

The property felt tired and frayed. Room was small and tight. Breakfast very disappointing , although we were unaware that no hot breakfasts could be served in B and B's in New Orleans. Can't recommend to discerning travelers .

Stayed here during Jazzfest and what a pleasure! Jill and Charles were fabulous, as well as those breakfasts! Fresh breads from the local bakery, great cheeses and conversations! This is THE PLACE TO STAY! Would definitely do this again!! Also, once there, leave the car. So easy to get around via streetcars or any local transportation.

We've come to the Chimes 3 years in a row now for Jazz Fest and we feel it is like a home away from home. Charles and Jill are so welcoming as they share thier love of New Orleans with all their guests. I look forward to the breakfasts with fresh breads from a local bakery, the great cheeses and... More

I stayed at the Chimes during Jazz Fest and we had a wonderful time. Staying with Charles and Jill is very much like staying at the home of a good friend. All the guests were very friendly and engaging. It was a multi-cultural group with folks from all over the world and everyone had a great time. The room was... More

We spent four nights at the Chimes. It's clean, safe, friendly, welcoming, handy for the St Charles trolley and Magazine. Our host Jill couldn't have been more helpful, ready with practical tips and a wealth of knowledge about New Orleans. The room was splendid. There's a lovely shady courtyard, an honour bar, and the breakfasts are excellent! We are already planning... More

This was our second trip to Chimes in 120 days! My wife and I, were there around the first of the year. We enjoyed our first trip so much we made reservations for our second visit before we left. It was for the French Quarter Festival. My wife`s mother flew in from Seattle, and it was her first time in... More

We loved our stay at the Chimes. The breakfast was great but the best experience was chatting with Jill. Jill couldn't have been more helpful, making reservations, suggesting restaurants, and getting transportation for us.
