The Chimes was a good pick. Comfortable, pleasant, in a quiet & walkable neighborhood. Just a few blocks in either direction for yummy eating. The neighborhood appeared very safe to me, with lots of great looking old houses. Good breakfast of simple high-quality foods. Would definitely stay there again.

Had the most wonderful time. Jill is a great hostess and knows everything about New Orleans, where to go, where to eat, what to see and how to get there. She made our stay extra special with a surprise gift bottle of champagne on our anniversary. The rooms are spacious, comfortable. Breakfast delicious and friendly. We felt very much at... More

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! My husband and I stayed in Guest room 4, which was very cozy and perfect for us. The whole house and courtyard are perfect for anyone. The host was very helpful with things to do and breakfast was light and delicious. We will be back to this place next time.

The world needs more B & Bs like Chimes. The property is very welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The location is good, close to street car and bus. Charles & Jill and their daughter are very good hosts. At least one of them had breakfast with us each day. By the way, the breakfast is great, featuring... More

I just returned from a visit to New Orleans and can wholeheartedly recommend the Chimes. Jill, the B&B owner, is a true people person and really enjoys sharing information about NOLA with her guests. My partner and I stayed in room #1 - a spacious two level room with a queen size bed, a daybed, and a leather sofa for... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Chimes and highly recommend it for its close proximity to the Quarter. Jill and her husband have poured their "hearts" into this B&B. My bed was oh so comfortable. You feel as though you are home! The side porch and shaded courtyard are perfect for reading, having your morning coffee, or just listening... More

There is no place I'd rather be than at The Chimes during Jazz Fest. We've been staying with Jill and Charles for more than 15 years, and every visit is a joy. Breakfast is at the center of The Chimes experience—be prepared to share stories and have the time of your life. Or sit in the courtyard with your coffee... More

We stayed at the chimes during the French quarter festival this year, it was a wonderful place to stay. We took the street car into the French quarter every day! It was a short walk from the chimes. We stayed in room#1 which was very nice and had a great shower. The breakfasts were very good, ask fresh fruits, cheese,... More
