I stayed in room 64 and loved it. The hotel is essentially three historic homes (late 18th, early 19th century). Our room took up half the second floor of the home across the street from check-in. This place was so overrated and overpriced. The quality of Motel 6, but 10 times the price. Don't be fooled by their website: It is NOT a charming boutique hotel with beautiful furnishings. The Soniat House is a small and beautfiful, privately owned hotel. The location is superb; the hotel is cosy and nice; the staff and the service is excellent! With this said... it is obvious that the former splendour of this hotel is not there anymore. It seems to be a bit on decay (paint falling of the walls, bathrooms etc).... more
