An experience unique in New Orleans. An authentic step back in time. An exquisitely restored Creole townhouse, 18th and 19th Century furniture..............all brought into the comforts of the 21st. (Yes, there are King Beds). The real world on the outside of two big green doors, the past just by walking a few more steps.

You are overdue for a return visit. Since your last visit we have reconfigured the hotel to create more suites ( all with king sized beds ) : redone or refurbished most existing baths and even replaced the air-conditioning. The noisy AC tower that the guests didn't seem to mind is gone! Come back soon. We miss you. More

I've been to New Orleans several times over the last ten years and stayed in various locations throughout the French Quarter and beyond. I'd often wanted to stay at Soniat House but for some reason or another it never worked out. I was an idiot. This is the most gracious, peaceful, historic hotel in the French Quarter and it's officially... More

every detail was attended, felt as though we were in our own private accommodations. Loved relaxing on the balcony over the street. Honor bar was a nice touch as was the lovely breakfast, although we fell in love with a small breakfast venue around the corner, Croissant D'Or.

My first visit to New Orleans and what a memorable experience. This stay was arranged by my sister who is a returning guest of the hotel. The property is very unique and quaint. The furnishings and room decor was stunning. We returned from dinner to find the courtyard illuminated with candles. Stunning. We enjoyed the craziness of Bourbon Street to... More

We thought the hotel itself was very charming. I'll caveat that we only stayed at the hotel just one night, as a result of an extended business trip where my Fiance joined me for the weekend. Having stayed in another hotel around the same area that entire week leading up to that weekend, I can say it was not worth... More

It is a little difficult to respond to a review written in July about a stay in December. We can usually tell who the reviewer is, what room they stayed in and how much they paid and are able to respond to any concerns they may have but after 7 months I can only say that I am sorry that... More

This hotel is a great old fashioned hotel with old fashioned service. Rooms are in excellent condition but old style, and it takes you back to the 60's with the 21st century twist. Scones for breakfast were a highlight.

We are always happy to hear from guests who find us "unique." We are actually aiming to give a feeling of what life was like in the French Quarter in the 1830s without looking like a museum. It is not easy to do. I'm glad to hear that we are efforts are appreciated. Come back soon. We would love to... More

Wonderfully homelike atmosphere with wonderful staff that take care of you as if you were visiting the 100th time! The decoration is lovely with wonderful details, all the furniture are antique. The breakfast is served in the room, the courtyards are very calm and serene. Great location in N.O.LA!

Although it is on the edge of the French Quarter, Soniat House feels like being transported to New Orleans in the past. Rooms are very quiet and private - and the suites are huge. We loved the atmosphere and breakfast tray. Greet for a romantic getaway - an oasis of calm and quiet in a city that never sleeps. A... More

For those that love being taken care of like you have not been before, we highly recommend the Soniat House. A quaint small luxury hotel that meets and exceeds every expectation of old world luxury. We had a wonderful downstairs room that had everything we needed including convenience. The luxury of having a porter come take your car from you... More

This is a favorite spot in a favorite city for us, and as always the stay was most enjoyable. It is in the middle of everything and yet quiet and relaxing. In the quarter, on the Eastern edge which makes it easy to get in and out of the quarter if so desired and the breakfast coffee and biscuits are... More
