Steps from the chaos and delicious debauchery of Bourbon Street is this tucked away gem. The formal courtyard with swimming pool and cherub guardian make for a easy, relaxed respite from the madcap pace of the outside world. The courtyard rooms are authentic with the tallest ceiling I have ever seen and furniture chosen for its quality as well as... More

My husband and I have been to New Orleans several times in the past 10 years. I really love staying in or near the French Quarter, but the majority of hotels are either extremely expensive (unless traveling for business on a group rate) or somewhat shabby. Even the shabby one's are expensive depending on what's going on in town during... More

This hotel is a short walk to Bourbon street but very quiet and its a short walk to Jackson Square and the river. The rooms have been upgraded and are comfortable. Even though we were near the pool area and it was warm the whole area was very quiet. We did not have the continental breakfast provided so can't comment... More

The staff was excellent. Friendly, outgoing. The room was great. The bed was excellent. The location is perfect. The setting, court yard, cafe and rooms are wonderful. The parking was excellent and very handy. We were in and out every day several times and the valets were always very fast and responsive to our requests for our vehicle. My wife... More

This was one of the hotels recommended by the visitor information bureau on our way into NO. We were arriving with a new to us sports car so were thrilled with secure parking and my husband even gave up the key. Hotel is older but charming and clean. Would definitely recommend an upgrade so you have a room with a... More

Our extended family of 27 spent Thanksgiving 2014 staying at the Place d' Armes Hotel in New Orleans. We have stayed here numerous times, and it is a fabulous location, smaller, older hotel with beautiful courtyards. They also include a self serve continental breakfast. We are never disappointed, since this is the best location in the French quarter. Rooms are... More

Terrific location! Last minute stay in NOLA for business, but enjoyed a brief outing for dinner. Would definitely like to return when we have a few days to explore all the sites, sounds, and history of this beautiful area of the city.

This was one of the cheaper hotels in the French Quarter. We had the cheapest room in the interior, room 211. It was a bed, bathroom, and a TV. Fantastic. You don't go all the way to New Orleans to hang out in your room We were a half block from Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral. We spent... More

Our room was always spotlessly clean, and did not have that "really old smell". Breakfast was a give-up, but when your in New Orleans it would be tough to compete with some of the places we ate. The location could not have been better, we only pulled our car out of the gararge the day we left, we were able... More

Booked our reservation a week in advance for an interior room. I knew that meant no windows, and I was actually looking forward to it so that the light from the window wouldn't wake me up in the morning. I have had a AAA card for a while, but I wasn't sure if it was still valid when I booked... More
