The place had this real old Louisiana feel. It doesn't seem like much from the outside but inside there's a courtyard where one can rest and relax and pretty romantic too.walking out there's a neat pastry shop and everything else is just a 10 mins walk away....although just make sure you clarify the dates you are staying when you check... If you are looking for a 4 star chain type hotel then this place isn't for you. This is my absolute favorite place to stay in New Orleans!!!! The rooms are small, neat, and comfortable. I love sitting on the balcony over looking the coffee shop early in the morning. This place is so charming.

a good price & location, really nice staff. great to have parking available, about 10 minutes walk away. A real bonus in the French quarter. The downside, the room was fine, quirky & adequate for a stay where you spend little time in the room. We were on the ground floor around the courtyard. If the lighting was fixed, strings... More

My husband and I stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are looking for perfection and cookie-cutter surroundings, this is not your place. We loved the great location and the quirky charm. The staff is what makes this place. Lane, Warren and Emily were incredible.

We spent only one night but really enjoyed our stay. Our room had an exposed brick wall, balcony, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. It was small but clean. Furniture is older but fits with the historic look. The elevator is old and padded, but worked well. There is a beautiful courtyard and complimentary coffee in the lobby. The staff... More

We had a great time at this hotel. The people are friendly, rooms are clean and cool, and it's especially great if you are traveling with a large group. It's got a great location by Bourbon but not ON Bourbon so you can escape the large crowds when you want to. The history of the hotel is also really interesting... More

Stayed here a couple of nights for a short trip. The location is more toward the top of the Quarter (or the bottom) but still close to all you want. The price was great and the old building was very cool. Everything is old in New Orleans, thats part of the charm! The staff all were very nice. Their parking... More

One of the lesser known hotels in the Quarter but I'm not sure why that is. Not only is is less expensive than most others, it also offers free (off site) parking. Yes, it's not as dazzling as some of the more exclusive hotels in the French Quarter, but the room was clean, the courtyard was lovely, the staff was... More

We stayed here for the last three nights of our trip to New Orleans in May 2015, The hotel is well located on Ursuline Avenue which crosses Conti, Royal & Bourbon Streets. The French Market and Decatur Street which have plenty of bars, shops & restaurants are approx 200 yards away. Most of the hotels rooms surround a nice central... More

Amazing place to stay. This is an historical hotel , so , that being said if you expect " The Hilton" ...dont even bother going to the French Quarter. This is the place to stay if you would like southern hospitality , a room with some charm, cleanliness and amazing front desk accommodations...this place is well loved by those "who... More
