Stayed here recently. The French Quarter is an excellent location to stay in New Orleans. The houses are quant and lovely. This hotel was away from Bourbon Street which I would strongly recommend. Bourbon Street is noisey and crass and if you aren't 20 something and looking to party needs to be avoided especially for somewhere to stay. The Villa... More

Don't expect a modern five star hotel, but this is a fun place to stay. The hotel dates back to the 1800's and has gone through different stages of modernization over the last few decades. Still, my family was comfortable in the hotel and we had a great time. The parking is little cumbersome, but we stayed in the French... More

My husband and I visited this hotel for 3 days and couldn't have asked for a better time. It's directly across from a bakery that's great to pick up a snack at, a couple blocks from the French Market, a couple of blocks from Jackson Square, and has hundreds of amazing restaurants all around you. The hotel itself is quaint... More

We stayed here for our anniversary and we had a great time. The location is great and the people are so friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and will for sure be back. The room was nice and we had no problems at all. Can not wait to return again!

Stayed here in March with my wife and returned again in July on a family trip with my adult daughters. Great location near Ursulines Convent & Beauregard Keyes house, near French St. and in the French Quarter. Love the hospitality from the staff. Friendly and got tips on places we wanted to see, was even able to borrow an umbrella... More

My experience in Hotel Villaconvento was great. It's a small place buy friendly; the decoration is homely. Very good hotel and the attention too, also is close to bourbon street and within the area French Quarter.

I found this place here in Trip Advisor. So I investigated it a bit further and it has a great location. The family/staff was AWESOME, room clean, pricing was excellent for it's location. The room itself was clean and had the basic necessities. But....I strongly feel that this place needs a bit of a face-lift. The rooms lack any "ambience/character".... More

In December, my two best friends and I stayed in this hotel for a week. Its has a lot of history, is very quaint and well kept. In the middle there is a court yard with a fountain, beautiful plants and seating. We spent many a night when we got back from walking the Quarter, just relaxing and chit chatting.... More

This hotel is amazing!! I have never enjoyed my stay anywhere in New Orleans as much as this! So charming, so interesting! This is the original House of the Rising Sun! It is haunted, you can feel it. Very New Orleans, very charming. Clean well thought out rooms, comfortable beds and a very nice courtyard! The staff is friendly and... More

The place had this real old Louisiana feel. It doesn't seem like much from the outside but inside there's a courtyard where one can rest and relax and pretty romantic too.walking out there's a neat pastry shop and everything else is just a 10 mins walk away....although just make sure you clarify the dates you are staying when you check...
