Cram yourself, your spouse and your suitcase into that elevator upholstered by your Aunt Bertha and you'll realize you're not in Kansas anymore. Resist the temptation to grab a nap here, because you'll want to do the sleeping in your room. Feel the breeze on a pleasant balcony overlooking Ursulines Street. Sure, the rooms are a little cramped and you... More

WOW what a great stay. We have been to NOLA several times however this is our first at the Villa Convento. The hotel is classic NOLA and that's what makes you feel engaged in the culture. The hotel staff is absolutely fantastic. Warren & Triskell are more than happy to help you make your stay the best ever. Don't forget... More

I bumped my review up to 5 not because the place is the "Ritz" but because of WARREN and his lovely Staff! The Villa is dated, but clean and enough room to do the only thing you will be doing in NOLA if you are doing it right-sleeping! Warren is a wealth of information, accomodating and at your service with... More

Have always loved this place. Started staying here in late 80's. Perfect location. Nice and away from hussell and bussell of Boubon Street. Only complaint I have is that I wish there was a coffee machine in rm

This hotel is not the Hilton but it was exactly what we were hoping to find here. It is an older style hotel, our room had expose bricks which was very charming. The bed was just fine and a large screen television. I'll admit the plumbing was a little slow but what are we expecting for 100+ year old structure.... More

I really was disappointed in this hotel and have a hard time understanding the great ratings others have given it on Trip Advisor. The location is great, the price is certainly right and the staff is amazing! The hotel itself is just nasty. The courtyard rooms are musty so beware of them. The elevator is downright scary so get a... More

If you are looking for a hilton, this isn't it, but we couldn't be happier with our stay. We were greeted by name and had several interactions with her. There are only 4 that work here - short dark hair with 3 kids. Our room was quiet, clean and safe and got a great price compared to others. We were... More

My second time at this hotel. Great staff - very friendly and helpful. I will stay again. My home away from home in NOLA (from Australia). Close to Frenchman St music. Good value for price. Clean rooms. A good intimate hotel - not for those who want all the mod cons of the big hotel chains. Good coffee across the... More

We went to New Orleans for my wife and cousins birthday. We booked the hotel based on the fact it was the best rate we could get. Seeing as how it was a home game weekend for the Saints. We got so much more than we paid for; outstanding service, excellent atmosphere, superb location. My wife, her friend and I... More

This lovely old hotel is on the edge of the French Quarter so the area is a bit quieter. The staff are super friendly and very helpful (especially Triskell). The rooms are clean and comfy. It's really reasonably priced.... and if all that isn't enough for you... it is the original House of the Rising Sun (allegedly!!)
