Both our accommodations and my friend's wedding/reception took place at the InterContinental Hotel 444 St. Charles Ave. The banquet coordinator was very available, extremely efficient and had a knack for dealing with a weepy, frightened flower girl. The archway and solarium of the restaurant made for a good backdrop for the ceremony. The timing on the butlered horsdoevres didn't quite... More

Our main reason for staying here was the Sunday Jazz brunch. We had gone about 10 years ago, loved it and planned to try it again. Got a good rate for two nights- $89/$109 for Saturday/Sunday. My mistake when booking on line was choosing two queens instead of king. The desk clerk looked for a king at check in- none... More

Since I was going to the Viking/ New Orlean Saints game we wanted to choose a hotel that was close to the Super Dome and The French Quarters. I arrived Wednesday night and order room service. The gumbo was so delicious! The next morning I order shrimp and grits for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I slept like a baby... More

This hotel is in a central location between Bourbon Street and the riverfront. The room was fabulous and the service was outstanding. The people behind the desk actually remembered us and always asked us about our day. The restaurant and bars were great as well. Staff, again, was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were greeted with smiles and friendly helpful people- johan (i think thats his name). The stay was alright..(we are pickier than most). The food was not to our liking; but the staff took care of this (so we thought). We did not let the bad food ruin our trip-- we just ate out. All in all the hotel was... More

This is not an awful hotel. It is, however, a disappointing one--and at full price, a terrible value. Also, it seems that either the management or the ownership of the hotel is asleep at the switch at times. A number of New Orleans hotels date from the late 70s, or early 80s, and this one opened in 1984 in time... More

My husband and I absolutely love this hotel. Our family is living on a budget and we booked a room at the InterContinental due to a good room rate that we found on www.neworleanscvb.com. We were pleasantly surprised by the regal infastructure of the hotel and absolutely adored the location. The staff was very friendly and the desk and offered... More

Stayed here for two nights on a work trip. Good location, near French Quarter but not too close. The food at the hotel was okay, but nothing spectacular. Try the place across the street, it was amazing! I forgot the name! Only complaint was the pool, it was kinda small and a lot of shade because of the way its... More

PROS: Great location. Right on the street car line, that will take you all up and down St. Charles. 1 block from Poydras, about 3 from Canal St... In other words, walking distance to pretty much everything. Rooms are very clean. Many have large balconies, which seems to be a favorite for smokers (found a few buds). Hotel accomodated my... More

We are not traditionally harsh critics of hotels. A few things, well delivered, make us happy. We are reasonable, frequent travelers. However our experience at ICH, however justified, seemed to take advantage of us as customers, not care. We recently made reservations to stay at the ICH New Orleans on St Charles, through their phone reservation system. We booked a... More
