I enjoyed my stay at the New Orleans Inter Continental, but must say straightaway that it didn't quite live up to expectations. This was surprising, since it had so many things going for it beyond its reputation: a) excellent location in the CBD, just steps from the Quarter but removed from its noise & frenzy -- and an easy stroll... We have enjoyed this property for years staying three times this year so far. We were recently upgraded to a suite which was greatly appreciated since we had child with us this time. One of staff members remembered me and welcomed me back. And I have to mention the deliciously fragrant flowers in the lobby. Contrary to a previous post... More

This hotel was conveniently located, there was a streetcar stop right at the corner. Canal street was a direct and short walk down the street. The hotel was gorgeous and elegantly decorated. Our room was very nice with plush carpets, comfortable beds and down bedding. There was a really cool rooftop pool that was connected to the gym and a... More

I along with 6 of my college alums chose New Orleans as a destination vacation spot to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday. The hotel looks very impressive from the outside, 15 stories high. I took an airport shuttle which took approx 20min so you can get a brief tour of New Orleans. I had some flight issues so I did... More

The location of the hotel is so convenient a couple of blocks from the FQ and Warehouse District. The street car line is right in front and it takes you all over the Garden District. The beds and pillows are so comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Also, you are a good distance away from the FQ to... More

I was completely satisfied with my stay at the Intercontinental until one month later, when I received a red light camera violation at the corner of Poydras St. and Carondelet St., an intersection one block from the hotel. I'm sure I'm not the first to receive this additional $125 fee compliments of thier fine valet service. Unfortunately, as an out... More

Was there for 5 days in June. Rooms were good size. Forget any views. the hotel is not situated to have a view of anything. I stayed in a standard king room. the bed was comfortable with ALOT of pillows!! Its just a few blocks from the fun of Burbon St. in a quiet downtown block. If your looking for... More

Hotel is conference oriented. Nice clean rooms. Very friendly people at the front desk, was able to get early check in and late check out free of charge. A very quiet location. Ten minutes walk to French Quarter. I paid $64 per night including taxes. I found a deal through Orbitz.com. Across the street from hotel is a very nice... More

I was so nervous after reading all the bad reviews here, but once I checked in I only had to step into the elevator to realize that there must be some people out there can can never be pleased. The room was comfortable, good sized vanity and bathroom. It is a very quiet hotel, that is walking distance from the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Really enjoyed it...room was nice, service very good, and the location great. Liked the fact it was close to the French Quarter and not in it. Free Internet in the lobby (and they mention this), so no need to pay up in the room. Head Bellman was great (tall, older gentleman with a moustache)...he helped... More
