I was completely satisfied with my stay at the Intercontinental until one month later, when I received a red light camera violation at the corner of Poydras St. and Carondelet St., an intersection one block from the hotel. I'm sure I'm not the first to receive this additional $125 fee compliments of thier fine valet service. Unfortunately, as an out... more

Was there for 5 days in June. Rooms were good size. Forget any views. the hotel is not situated to have a view of anything. I stayed in a standard king room. the bed was comfortable with ALOT of pillows!! Its just a few blocks from the fun of Burbon St. in a quiet downtown block. If your looking for... more

Hotel is conference oriented. Nice clean rooms. Very friendly people at the front desk, was able to get early check in and late check out free of charge. A very quiet location. Ten minutes walk to French Quarter. I paid $64 per night including taxes. I found a deal through Orbitz.com. Across the street from hotel is a very nice... more

I was so nervous after reading all the bad reviews here, but once I checked in I only had to step into the elevator to realize that there must be some people out there can can never be pleased. The room was comfortable, good sized vanity and bathroom. It is a very quiet hotel, that is walking distance from the... more

Stayed here for 3 nights. Really enjoyed it...room was nice, service very good, and the location great. Liked the fact it was close to the French Quarter and not in it. Free Internet in the lobby (and they mention this), so no need to pay up in the room. Head Bellman was great (tall, older gentleman with a moustache)...he helped... more

This hotel is not pet or people friendly. Our nine pound, non-shedding, well-behaved dog cost almost as much to spend the night as it did our four humans. We were told on the phone that the pet cost would be @ $75, but it was $150 on check-in due to "deep cleaning" after each pet visit. Really? Our "pet room"... more

Room was nice, bed was incredibly comfy. We are coming back probably during football season and im defiantely booking another room here. I was very... more

Our stay at the hotel was a pleasant one. I prefer staying in the Marigny, but the IC's location on St Charles is close enough to the Quarter that you can walk to it and through to Frenchmen. There's also a streetcar stop less than a block from the front door. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, our room,... more

My husband and I have enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the Intercontinental Hotel many times over the past few months. We can always count on finding a beautiful and clean room, a comfortable bed, and friendly staff ready to help whenever we need it. This hotel is a very special place. As we travel down the maze of hallways looking... more
