The hotel was easy to find. During check in gave my name to front desk clerk he started to pull of my information but stop to talk on the phone with a customer and started looking up information for the that customer while im standing in front of him it took a least 10 min to check in. Valet guys... More

Breakfast was good... and the proximity to sights and streetcar was good, but not much else was. The staff was not helpful. The hotel was so noisy at night (you could carry on a conversation through the walls... which wasn't fun staying next to a bunch of drunk sorority brats). We were woken up several times nighly. Our room was... More

This hotel is only a few blocks from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. The staff were friendly. Valet parking was available. The concierge/bellman was knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were very nicely furnished, more like a higher priced hotel with very nice bedding and decor. There was a coffee pot with local coffee in the room. Full breakfast consisted... More

We found the staff to be friendly and accomodating. Not the best location as the people out on the sidewalks within a block of the hotel were just, plain unfriendly! However, get past that and the folks around New Orleans really try to make you feel welcome, at least during Mardi Gras. Overall, I'd say this is a good hotel... More

We got to the hotel and checked in, while checking in I noticed the hotel clerk swiping my card twice and he didn't say anything. I got up to our room and checked my online banking and the hotel charged me $160 twice. I called the front desk and she stated she was going to let her manager know. The... More

Place of over priced for the accommodations. No cancellation policy. Would not recommend it to anyone. Smoke free room was obviously scented to mask smoking room (at one time). Bathroom tub had mold growing everywhere. For a suite it was the smallest one we have ever experienced. Never again!

I was here with my souse for Sugar Bowl 2011. I read reviews before coming to New Orleans and can understand some of the concerns. For this event, things were good at this hotel. I am not sure when there isn't any events. It felt very safe because police were on every corner of most blocks. They said that their... More

We stayed in the clarion for New Years 2011. I read all the reviews here before we went so I was not expecting the Ritz. I agree that it is in a run down part of Canal Street and there are some strange crowds about, but we never felt we were unsafe or in danger walking to the French Quarter,... More
