Surly staff along with a crumbling hotel in a crappy location and WAY overpriced.

I was scared to stay here after reading the bad reviews. I stayed here 1/14/2012 and it is a good hotel. First off if you have never been to New Orleans I can see where you would say it's in a bad nieghborhood. This hotel is only a few blocks from the french quarter and me and my girlfriend walked... I rely on these reviews to make my decisions about where to stay so I thought you would like to hear about my experience. I stay in New Orleans at least once a month on business and have stayed at a lot of hotels around the French Quarter. This place was the worst by far of all my experiences over... More

My husband and I decided Christmas morning to go watch the Saints play. We called the hotel and the lady at the front desk was very helpful, she answered all our questions that we had about the area. We booked the room, we arrived early and our room was ready. The room was on Canal Street, but it was not... More

This was a great decision! It's within walking distance to the French Quarter and for half the price. The room was a bit small, but not cramped. The furniture looks and feels pretty new-- really comfy bed and a new desk chair. The bathroom was clean, with new tiling and a new vanity. They also feature daily breakfast in the... More

Refrig would not stay closed. One day we received no cleaning service..bedspreads still on floor when we came back after a day out. Two senior adults, one with oxygen,no-one would help carry or remove the oxygen from the car. I understand if you don't have bell-boys,but really I believe it is a law to have available staff for the handicap. car... More

Hotel located close enough to the French Quarters but far enough away to avoid Bourbon's nightly "freaks". Pros: helpful hotel staff, decent rate, wide variety of breakfast foods, secured parking Cons: very small rooms, extremely small shower (forget shaving your legs), paper thin walls (couple next door know what we mean), room temperature very cold at night, and last but... We have stayed at this hotel for 3 nights so far and have had no problems! No bed bugs, no cockroaches, no blood stains, no broken elevators, nothing! I was terrified on our flight here after reading these previous reviews and I was worked up for no reason. Location to the French Quarter and St Louis Cemetery 1 was just... More

I was OK with the smell in the lobby, the street people outside, the shoddy renovations. I was OK with the contempt when I asked the desk who I should call for a food delivery late at night. I was OK when the deliveryman brought a prostiute with him...laughed that off as local flare and declined. HOWEVER I am not... More

We stayed here for three nights in October . The hotel was just fine, and we got a decent rate. The room was very clean and comfortable and included a microwave and small refrigerator which was great. Free wifi was a plus, and it worked very well. They offer free breakfast but I didn't take advantage of that so I... More
