We booked this hotel for New Years Eve (December 30th-January 2nd) in mid-November. We received a confirmation email from the hotel. Then on December 17th, my boyfriend checked his credit card statement and realized that they had CHARGED US $1000 dollars (which was more than DOUBLE what our quoted rate was for our entire stay!). We called the hotel and... More

Stayed here a couple days prior to our cruise. Downtown close to the French Quarter and the Port of New Orleans. Parking was right next to the hotel and we could see our car from our room which was a plus. We walked every where, even to dinner. A couple of McDonald's down the street if you don't want to... This is an aging property, so don't expect the Ritz. That being said, we were very happy with our weekend getaway stay. First, the negatives: Parking is expensive - but what do you expect in a large city? Also, the wi-fi was extremely difficult to keep connected, but we spent very little time in the room, so wasn't as important.... More

Very satisfied with this hotel. Spent a week in New Orleans and this hotel was in a very good location (5 minutes walk to Bourbon St, 15 minutes walk to riverfront or Superdome). Room was exactly as advertised. Beds very comfortable, A/C worked well, elevators were fast, complimentary breakfast was very good. All of the staff were great; front desk... More

I've been to many better Choice Hotels. The only thing going for this hotel (ok, 2 things: the free breakfast was good) is its Canal St. location. The hotel shows its age poorly. Certainly not faded glory, rather, faded mediocrity. Very little inexpensive parking available, so we were forced to pay $22 per day for valet parking ( which took... More

The Clarion Inn & Suites is well situated on Canal street, at the edge of the French Quarters, and only a few blocks from the centre of New Orleans nightlife: Bourbon Street. Staff is polite, friendly and helpful. The exterior of the hotel doesn’t look to exciting but the quaint decoration on the inside makes up for it. The elevator... More

Let me begin with the minuses: the first day they forgot to bring fresh towels, and refill the coffee packs. The free wi-fi is literally non-existent in the rooms, verified by two phones, a pad, and a laptop. The closet door as seen in the picture just did not close and the safe we locked as it kept opening due... More

This is an okay hotel that is close enough to the French Quarter that you can walk to. The room was a bit weird shape but it worked. The bed was comfortable and every thing was clean. We stayed to save some money and to be as close to the FQ as possible. A draw back is the bus stop... More

This hotel was a little older but very clean and nice. It is definately within walking distance to Bourbon St. Breakfast was a little lacking but for the price I don't think you will beat it in downtown NO.

Close to the French Quarter but quiet and comfy rooms. I would have given a better rating but the blinds would not close in the bathroom, and there were no functioning vending machines anywhere so if you need water or another beverage through the night, would recommend buying it before you go to the room. And one of the elevators... More
