# 10: Walk outside of your room and view the wonderful sight of the woods because you can't see anything out of the dirty windows. # 9 Enjoy the chance to identify spiders and bugs:..Impress your H. S. Biology teacher. (If you are a P.E. teacher, you would probably like to try to identify the dirty athletic socks left in... more
I made reservations to the Inn and upon arrival noticed renovation was needed to the facility. The pool was very small and decided we did not want to stay there. The whole facilty needed modern renovations such as the parking lot, carpet, and painting. After deciding the hotel was not to our liking, we let the clerk at the front... more
I plan a yearly get together with a group of friends, usually we get 2-3 rooms for a weekend. We have stayed at Spring House Inn for the last five years. The first 2 were very enjoyable, which is why we continued to go there, but our last two or three visits were not so nice. The establishment seems to... more
The Spring House Inn has been the site of our annual family reunion for several years now. For our purposes, it is ideal and we hope to stay there for many years to come. The location is well suited for us as we travel from several directions in both Indiana and Illinois. While obviously not a five star hotel, it... more
This is my second time staying at the Springhouse Inn. Once a year I travel to Porter, IN. to enjoy the trains that travel through Porter and Chesterton. Some of the things I really enjoy about this Inn are the following: Has a wonderful country atmosphere Has wireless Internet Has a pool, sauna and whirlpool They have 70 some channels... more
My husband, mother and I stayed one night at this hotel for a family wedding. We had reserved a room for three nights but left after the first one. The rooms themselves aren't horrible, but the property is somewhat rundown. There's also an odd smell. The bathroom was very clean though, which was a plus. We found the staff to... more
Held a family reunion there and the staff was downright hostile. Breakfast staff didn't show up so they ran out of everything, even bowls and glasses. One family booked 2 rooms for parents and children and were given them on different floors. A separate family reunion group actually left early! The front desk wouldn't print off airline boarding passes either.... more
I had made reservations here after looking at some of the reviews and looking at the web site. It was very dirty and run down. The rooms were very, very dated and yucky! The pool had a bubbly film floating all over the water. It looked thick and jelly like. There were only a few cars in the giant parking... more
The Inn's location off of the highways and hotel strips are a definate plus. Although the inn's rooms and common areas show wear and tear it's overall ambience of a European hotel gives it a certain charm over a stay in an American hotel chain's establishment. more
