We visited Madison to move our oldest daughter into graduate school at UW in August. Four of us stayed in the Willow and General Pickering rooms and were truly welcomed and made to feel at home by Peggy. The Inn is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and up to date. Coffee and breakfast in the mornings were delicious and enjoyable... More

My wife and I stayed three nights at the Livingston Inn and loved it. Peggy immediately made us feel at home and she talked with us about the many things to do in Madison. Our room was the General Pickering room. Wonderfully comfortable bed, great amenities in bathroom, and very homey feel. Breakfast was spectacular. I like a B &... More

On our recent overnight stay in Madison, we camped at the Livingston Inn, a lovely B&B run by a lovely couple. We chatted with Peggy for a good while the afternoon we arrived and found many common interests. She gave us many recommendations for restaurants (the one we chose was excellent) and things to see and do in the area... More

Peggy welcomed us into her home and spent some time with us just visiting. We talked about mutual interests and the Inn. It was all so relaxing and I felt like I was talking with an old friend. Be sure to walk down to the lake if you visit where you get a bit of a city view and UW... More

We have three boys and have a hard time finding accommodations for our family of five, and often have to choose suite-type family hotels. What a treat to stay at a beautiful, historic Bed & Breakfast and have the perfect room set-up for our family as well. We stayed in the William T. Leitch Room and the connecting Harman Hideaway.... My wife and I recently spent three days at the Livingston Inn in Madison, Wisconsin. I initially selected the Inn due to the positive reviews that I saw online and also due to its proximity to the lake. We were not disappointed at all. Our room (Mendota Room) had a view of the lake which was also very appealing. Here... More

I was able to have my wedding at the Livingston Inn! This was perfect for a vintage, white tent wedding. I know and love the area around the inn with the beautiful park and lake, walking distance to the capital, and the unique Johnson street stores. My family rented out the Inn for the weekend, which allowed me to explore... More

Simply stated - a beautiful home with wonderful owners! My boyfriend and I have stated at other bed and breakfasts and this by far was our favorite! We stated in the William T. Leitch room. It was comfortable, charming, and updated with an amazing shower (excellent water-pressure!) and Aveda products. Peggy and Dave were a wonderful wealth of knowledge of... More

We have been to Madison many times, but feel very lucky to have discovered this wonderful historic house with a charming hostess. We were in the maid's room and had our own little sitting room just outside the bedroom. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the breakfast scrumptious. One could easily walk to Lake Mendota or downtown for the Concerts... More

We stayed at the Livingston Inn in early July for four nights in the William T. Leitch room. It faces the front and the street but it was very quiet inside the room. The bathroom with shower was very clean and the Aveda products provided were a nice touch. Fun to watch Ella the house dog run around in the... More
