just as other review said... good location, but that's about it !!! I stayed there for the whole week to send my brother off to school and the hotel was a mess..!! the corridor is always dirty, full of dirty bed sheets and trash. Remember, it's the location that counts. This hotel is literally eight steps from the busy life of State Street, which is where it's at in Madison. The hotel is in walking distance for everything on campus: shows, stores, campus, trails, lakes, etc. It is also a relatively inexpensive hotel. This is not a hotel for everyone. If you're looking for somewhere to stay for the night and is centrally located, this is a great place for you. I stayed at University Inn for two nights duing the Madison Folk Ball, March 3-5, 2006. The rate was about $20 more per night than last year. I had a malfunctioning phone (it was not fixed), a bathroom sink that would not drain (not fixed), and a 6-pack of empty beer bottles in the closet (they were removed). No offer... more
A great cheap hotel to stay the night in. Stayed here for one night while I attened a concert at the Kohl centre. Very close to the Kohl centre and local pubs. Friendly service on check in and check out. more
