I have stayed in Madison 4 or 5 nights a week for 5 years. The last 2 years have been at the Road Star Inn. It is the best value for the price. Madison is an expensive city to stay in, but Road Star gives an extremely good rate to extended stay. This hotel is quiet. The majority of the customers during the week seem to be people here in Madison to work. The showers work well with plenty of hot water. I am nearly always in the same room each week for these 2 years – it is comfortable with a recliner, the bed is a good firmness, good large TV, microwave and dorm size fridge. The high speed wireless internet is especially good. Great location on the West side and next to the belt line for easy access anywhere. A one block walk to Woodmans supermarket and a few restaurants are very close. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are bagels, rolls, etc with juices and coffee for breakfast. more
